PAVE Calls Nigerians to Action as Insecurity Worsens.
Nigeria is bleeding, and we cannot pretend not to see it.
Abductions, attacks on communities, violence in schools, and fear in our daily lives it’s happening too often.
On July 1, 2026, the Partnership Against Violent Extremism (PAVE) Network launched a 30-day campaign to say: enough is enough.
Theme: “Protect Nigerian Lives: End Abductions, Strengthen Communities and Stop the Politicisation of Insecurity.”
PAVE is not just adding to the noise. They are pushing for action.
For the next 30 days they will run a national petition, hold town halls across states, engage the media, and mobilize youth and women. They will also talk with lawmakers about state police but with strong safeguards so it does not become another tool for abuse or profiling.
Their point is clear: security should not be political. Every Nigerian life matters.
Long-term safety will only work if government does its part and citizens step up too. Strong local governments, early warning systems, and community peacebuilding have to be part of the solution.
Through Youth Against Violent Extremism, Women Against Violent Extremism, and Media Against Violent Extremism, PAVE will take this message to every corner of the country.
If you are tired of the fear, if you want accountability, if you believe lives come first, this campaign is for you.
Protecting lives must remain our national priority.
