After a full week of stepping away from work calls, emails, meetings, and office activities, the AIHI team is back and we didn’t return empty-handed.
As part of our return, we were led through a collective Pause Week Reflection Exercise by our Programs and M&E Team. We took time to look back on how we spent the break, how rest affected our mental wellbeing, what we learned about our relationship with work, and what healthier ways of working we want to carry forward.
The reflection brought forward honest conversations and insightful ideas about rest, productivity, boundaries, teamwork, and how we can build a healthier work culture together.
For organisations working in health, human rights, advocacy, and community response, burnout cannot be treated as an individual problem alone. Creating healthier movements also means creating spaces where people can disconnect, recover, reflect, and return.
We paused. We reflected. We listened. And now, we return recharged, rejuvenated, and ready to continue the work with greater intentionality.
