AIHINigeria - Achievers Improved Health Initiative AIHI was founded in 2014 to curb the vulnerabilities of key populations.

Achievers improved health initiative is a Non-governmental Organization dedicated to catering for the health and wellbeing of all persons including diverse marginalized communities in Nigeria Our primary purpose was to provide quality information and access to services that would reduce stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS, homophobia, and improve quality of life. Today, our work has expanded to incorporate broader aspects of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, mental health, empowerment, advocacy, and we have adopted feminist principles to drive actionable steps towards strategic movement building, inclusion, dismantling of biases, advocacy and transformative leadership in the full realisation of human rights. We are gradually shifting public discourse on gender and sexuality through advocacy, arts, capacity strengthening, and engagement with key stakeholders.

A healthy democracy is more than elections. It is about having the freedom to speak, the opportunity to participate, the right to be heard, and the assurance that every person is treated with dignity.

This International Day of Democracy, we are reminded that inclusive communities are built when people can participate meaningfully, challenge injustice, and have a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.

More than 720,000 people die by su***de every year globally, and su***de remains the third leading cause of death among people aged 15–29. About 73% of su***des occur in low- and middle-income countries.
