KANO STATE MINISTRY OF HEALTH 2026 AOP DISSEMINATION,Q4 2025 PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND PARTNERS COORDINATION FORUM.

On 5th February, 2026 YEDA Team participated at Dissemination of 2026 AOP. The event had the presence of partners where their performance was reviewed.

The Dissemination was held at Tahir Guest palace in Kano chaired by Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Health Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf alongside the Permanent Secretary, Head of MDAs, Development partners among others.

The Community Resources Persons under ARFH-YEDA CODSAIN Project are conducting community dialogue across LGAs. The meeting was planned to enlight, empower women of reproductive age on DMPA-SC/SI and discuss community issues regarding the project and leveraged to distribute sanitary pad or detergent for the participants after the meeting.

The meeting was conducted in three different venues of Kasko community in Minjibir, LGA Secretariat of Bichi and Danbatta LGA Secretariat.

This evening YEDA held a planning meeting with Youth members from the Farawa community of Kumbotso LGA, Kano State. The meeting objectives were to identify community issues that affected youth and to come up with the solution that will overcome such issues.

The youths raised and identified some issues by category from the age of 8 to 15 among all genders.

The issue was out of school, lack of parental care, and rampant streets selling as under age.

REACHING UNDERSERVED COMMUNITY WITH MODERN CONTRACEPTIVE DMPA-SC/SI

As part of the ARFH-YEDA CODSAiN Project community based activities aimed at reaching women of reproductive age with free Family planning services in their respective communities.

Our Community Resources Persons (CORPs) are conducting community outreaches to empower women on how to self-inject themselves with the modern contraceptive method DMPA-SC/SI Sayana press.

The attached capture shows how the Corps are demonstrating DMPA-SC/SI to the women during the outreach in Lahadin Kara community of Gwarzo LGA and Yelwa karama community of Tofa LGA in Kano state.
