Virtuous Women Widows Care Initiative

VWWCI is registered with relevant agencies that fight for the right of widows and their children. The organization has her presence in Kano State, Nigeria.

Virtuous Women Widows Care Initiative (VWWCI) is a Non-governmental Organization (NGO) with over Eleven (11) years’ experience in Widows Care as well as Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) program. VWWCI over the years have been fighting for the right of widows and their children who are neglected and abandoned in the society, those who suffer from HIV/AIDS, poverty, diseases, education, injustic

e and violence. Through the generosity of our donors, VWWCI have been able to render services to over Six Thousand (6,000) beneficiaries which comprises of widows and their children within the past years.

At VIRTUOUS WOMEN WIDOWS CARE INITIATIVE, we believe that loss should never mean the end of opportunity. Born from a deep desire to stand with those left most vulnerable, our organization exists to uplift widows and orphans through compassion, action, and lasting support.

We don’t just provide aid, we create pathways to stability, dignity, and self-sufficiency. Whether it’s helping a widow learn a new skill to earn a living or making sure an orphan has the chance to attend school, our work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a chance to thrive, not just survive.

Our team works directly within communities, listening, understanding, and responding to real needs with real solutions. From emergency relief to long-term empowerment programs, we stand as a bridge between pain and possibility.

We’re not driven by sympathy. We’re driven by justice, and the conviction that no one should be forgotten simply because of the hand life dealt them.

VIRTUOUS WOMEN WIDOWS CARE INITIATIVE is more than an organization. It's a family, a refuge, and a voice for those who often go unheard.

Picture Speaks.
We are thankful to God for yet another gathering with these strong women. It was a sure relieving moment as we had the privilege to hear from a seasoned coach Mrs Docas Akor, who took us on a ride on the topic of financial freedom. This topic was intentionally chosen to enable these women to see possibilities as they give in their best to navigate through financial difficulties.

Creating a Safety Net for Widows and Orphans
Widows and orphans are often the most vulnerable members of society, facing numerous challenges that can affect their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Without a support system, widows and orphans can feel isolated, alone, and without hope.

Our initiative recognizes the urgent need to create a safety net for widows and orphans. We are working to provide a comprehensive support system that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of widows and orphans.

Through our program, we offer:

- Emergency assistance and relief services to help widows and orphans in crisis
- Counseling and psychological support to help widows and orphans cope with grief and trauma
- Social support and community outreach to help widows and orphans connect with others and build a support network

We believe that every individual deserves a safety net to fall back on in times of need. Join us in our mission to create a supportive community for widows and orphans and help them rebuild their lives.
