YUMSUK ALUMNI CLASS OF 2019 2ND ANNUAL MEETING.
To God be the Glory…
The Association of Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano Alumni Class of 2019 hold its 2nd Annual General Meeting dated Yesterday 27th August 2022.
The meeting serves as to “poster the spirit of loyalty and to promotes the welfare of the Alumni”.
The Association under the leadership of Comrade Abdullahi Umar have observed many achievements few among are:-
Providing a standard Constitution of the Association reviewed by legal Practioners that will govern and regulate the conduct of the entire members of the association and its activities.
registering the association at state and federal level that will enable the association to operate nationwide.
Opening a corporate account of the association this will help to track and control the financial inflow and Outflow of the association and proper management of its funds.
Design an effective Alumni Website worth Three Hundred thousand naira (300,000:00k) for the benefit and easy access to Alumni members, Instant Messaging, live Chat, Public announcement, track the Activities of the association as well as the current updates of the Association which 80% of it is done is just the remaining 20% before launching.
In our Database, as of today we have recorded 108 Alumni Members, 81.5% are Males while 18.5% are females. 32.4% from faculty of Education, 26.9% from Faculty of Humanities, 23.1% from faculty of Social & Management Sciences, 11.1% from faculty of Science and 6.5% from faculty of Basic Medical Science. 76.6% are employed while 23.4% are unemployed.
We proposed to the University Management to consider our members in their upcoming recruitment for Academic and Non Academic Staff also to provide with us the Association office which all the administrative work of the Alumni Association will take place.
We have also Contributed worth Two Hundred Thousand Naira 200,000 to support some of our members whose encounters serious problems in one way or the other especially in medical billings among many other achievement which time is not sufficient to mention them all.
Moreover, Alumni Association mostly generates its funds through its members to contribute within ourselves especially to those who have the capacity in doing so. We really appreciate those who have contributed in one way or the other towards the progress of this association which is the first of its kind in Yusuf Maitama Sule University.
The Association under the Organizing & Planning Committee are planning to hold a one day Public lecture in order to creates a public awareness to its members, graduates and undergraduates students which will make a positive impact to the society.
Insha Allah, we will soon commence some projects in the university which will invite members of the Alumni and the university management to officially flag off this very laudable project.
In conclusion, I will like to use this medium to extend our heartfelt congratulations to our colleagues who have employed in various places Government and Non-governmental organization, we say a big Congratulation to them and pray to Almighty Allah SWT to protect and guide them in discharge of their duties.
In other hand to commiserate with the families and friends of our members whose lost their lives from our last meeting to date, May their gentle souls rest in peace.
