YOUTH CRISIS AWARENESS AND PEACE FORUM(YCAPF NIGERIA)

MOTTO: STRUGGLE FOR PEACE AND UNITY IN THE NATION
we had the privilege of attending the Program of which organized by MISSION4 IMPACT, a thought-provoking event featuring insightful presentations by esteemed speakers. The program enlightened us on crucial topics impacting communities.

Speakers and Topics
1. *Dr. Oche*: The first speaker, Dr. Oche, delivered an engaging presentation on *Conflicts Analysis and Conflicts Mapping*. This session equipped attendees with tools for understanding and navigating conflicts effectively.
2. *Dr. Ochanya M. Lamai*: Following Dr. Oche, Dr. Ochanya M. Lamai spoke about *Trauma Sensitivity and Community Healing*. This talk highlighted the importance of considering trauma in community interactions and strategies for fostering healing.
3. *Amb. Rajab Haruna*: The third speaker, Amb. Rajab Haruna, spoke about *Leadership and Advocacy*. This presentation likely covered key aspects of effective leadership and strategies for impactful advocacy.

We learned a lot from the program, gaining valuable insights into:
- Techniques for analyzing and mapping conflicts.
- Approaches to trauma sensitivity in community settings.
- Strategies for community healing.
- Aspects of leadership and advocacy.

The Program of Mission for Impact was insightful and impactful. The presentations by Dr. Oche, Dr. Ochanya M. Lamai, and Amb. Rajab Haruna provided practical knowledge on managing conflicts, promoting healing in communities, and effective leadership and advocacy.

*YCAPF Urges President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Address Hunger Crisis and End Banditry, Offers Comprehensive Solutions*

Abuja, Nigeria - The Youth Crisis Awareness and Peace Forum (YCAPF) is deeply concerned about the escalating hunger crisis and rising insecurity in Nigeria. We urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take immediate and decisive action to address these pressing issues.

To combat the hunger crisis, YCAPF recommends:

1. Implementing policies to support farmers, including:
- Access to credit facilities and low-interest loans
- Provision of fertilizers, seeds, and modern farming equipment
- Training and capacity-building programs for farmers
2. Investing in irrigation infrastructure to enhance agricultural productivity and reduce dependence on rain-fed agriculture
3. Establishing strategic food reserves to stabilize food prices and ensure availability
4. Promoting agricultural research and development to improve crop yields and disease resistance

To end banditry and ensure national security, YCAPF recommends:

1. Deploying military personnel to affected areas to protect farmers, communities, and critical infrastructure
2. Implementing community-based policing to build trust, gather intelligence, and prevent attacks
3. Addressing the root causes of banditry, including:
- Poverty and unemployment: through job creation programs, vocational training, and social welfare initiatives
- Social inequality: through inclusive policies, education, and community engagement
4. Enhancing border security to prevent influx of weapons and criminals

If these issues are not addressed, Nigeria faces:

- Worsening hunger and malnutrition, leading to increased mortality rates and stunted growth
- Escalating insecurity, leading to increased displacement, human rights abuses, and economic devastation
- Reduced economic growth and development, as investment and trade are hindered by insecurity and instability
- Increased social unrest, as frustrated citizens demand action from their leaders

"We believe that with decisive action and a comprehensive approach, Nigeria can overcome these challenges and ensure food security, national peace, and prosperity. However, failure to act will have dire consequences for our nation and its people," said Edet Zakariya Abubakar, National President of YCAPF.

After series of consultation and deliberations by the National Executive Council and State Executive council. The leadership of YCAPF has today 31/06/2024 got the privilege of farmilarizing and appointing the said personally as Patron, A man whom to the forum is discribe as a golden fish, who is endowed and mold with the act of administration and the reduments of Youths empowerment and quest for societal development.

The delegation under the leadership of the State Chairman Abm. Abubakar rabo, among other state excos, and in furtherance the global deputy Chairman had numerous interactions on the way and manner in which if put in place, YCAPF will undoubtedly achieve it goals and the quest to inject it's qouta to the youth and humanity.

In addindum, the delegation also used the medium on unfolding to the patron the planned State Annual Seminar which has been a tradition of the forum of hosting a public lecture and educative programs which are worth doing, seeing the numerous impact it has on shaping the minds of youths.
