Congratulations Dream-Catchers, you’re on the global stage!

We’re proud to share that Reclaiming Futures Nigeria’s Dream-Catchers Programme has been featured in the WFAD 2026 Global Youth Magazine!

The World Federation Against Drugs, WFAD (WFAD) is a respected global network working to prevent substance use and promote healthy communities, so this recognition is a big deal.

This moment belongs to every Dream-Catcher across Nigeria who is showing up, speaking out, and supporting others to make better choices.

Today, over 4,600 youth ambassadors are part of this movement, creating real change in schools and communities.

💬 “Being a Dream-Catcher means helping other young people believe they can overcome challenges and achieve their dreams.”
Mubarak, Dream-Catchers’ Ambassador (Abuja)

Dream-Catchers, this is your moment. The world is seeing your impact.

And this is only the beginning.

On many streets, a woman wakes up before the city does, preparing the small business that helps keep her family going.

By the time most people begin their day, she is already at work, showing up with determination, courage, and hope for a better tomorrow.

We see strength, resilience, and a woman giving her all for her family and community.

Every day, women give their time, energy, and courage to keep hope alive.

And when women give, we all gain.

This International Women’s Day, Reclaiming Futures Nigeria celebrates the strength of women and the futures they are building.

Sometimes a young person becomes unusually quiet, avoids friends, or loses interest in school.

They may not say what is wrong but they need someone safe to talk to.

Through peer mentorship and guided support sessions many gradually regain confidence and re engage.

Reclaiming Futures Nigeria provides safe and confidential support for young people.

For parents, teachers and responsible adults details are on the flyer.

Dami used to struggle in class. Her classroom was always full, lessons moved quickly, and it felt easier to keep quiet than to ask questions. Then a teacher noticed her, took time to explain things again, encouraged her to speak up, and reminded her that learning was possible.

That experience shaped her dream in Nigeria. Dami wants to become a teacher so other children won’t feel left out when they are trying to learn. In 2026, she is protecting that dream. She doesn’t run from challenges. She catches dreams.

In 2025, young people across Nigeria showed up with Dream-Catchers, speaking up, supporting one another, and making positive moves in schools, communities, and vulnerable settings.

As we step into a new year, Dream-Catchers, a youth empowerment programme of Reclaiming Futures Nigeria, continues to grow as a space where young people learn, connect, and turn ideas into action.
