Our Programs Lead, Sadiq Ba’aba, and Communications Lead, Yasmin Mohammed took part in a high level Dialogue organized by YouthHubAfrica, focused on strengthening citizens’ engagement and promoting gender responsive budgeting in Kaduna State’s education sector.
The conversation was engaging and insightful, bringing together voices from government, civil society, and education advocates who all share a common goal ensuring education funding is more transparent, inclusive, and truly reflective of the needs of communities, especially girls and underserved groups.
It was a strong reminder that real change doesn’t just happen it takes effort, honest conversations, and people willing to work together. From discussions around education funding and accountability to hearing directly from young people, especially girls, about their experiences and needs, the dialogue made one thing clear: progress is a shared responsibility. When people come together, listen, and commit to taking action, we get closer to building an education system that is inclusive, responsive, and truly works for everyone.
