WGHEN partnered with Global Peace Foundation Nigeria on the 21st September 2025 to celebrate the 2025 International Peace Day at Arewa House Kaduna.

More than 200 participants including women and girls converged led by the Program Manager Women & Girls Health Enpowerment Network. The programme manager called for greater inclusion of women and girls in peacebuilding processes, stressing that sustainable peace cannot be achieved when half of society is excluded from decision-making.

“Women and girls must be at the center of peace and governance. Their voices, perspectives, and leadership are critical for building resilient communities.

WGHEN will continue to advocate and partner to ensure inclusivity remains a cornerstone of peace in Kaduna and across Nigeria,” Barrister Farida said.
