Do you want to learn about Open Government Partnership (OGP) and community development?

Join The Civic Innovation Hub, a youth-led movement working to promote transparency, accountability, and civic engagement by leveraging the OGP.

It is with profound sadness that Open Gov Youth Innovation Hub Kaduna received the news of the passing of Dr Umar Sani Bebeji, a distinguished lawyer whose life was marked by service, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to justice.

Dr Bebeji's dedication to the legal profession and has made an impact on countless lives that cannot be forgotten. His legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him and those who follow in his footsteps.

On the 16th of August, 2025, Open Gov Youth Innovation Hub Kaduna attended the International Youth Day celebration organized by YandyTech Community in partnership with SmartAid Initiative, NEST Africa AI Innovation Lab, and Information Technologies Hub and Cynosure (ITHAC). The event brought together youth leaders Zainab Saidu Idris, innovators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers to discuss innovation, inclusion, sustainability, youth empowerment, and community development. The session featured keynote discussions and a panel session where speakers shared their journeys, challenges, achievements, and recommendations for young people aspiring to create impact within their communities.

On 25th June, 2026, Benjamin Sheyin represented the OGP Kaduna Ocds-Oc4ids Technical Working Group to participate in the first implementation meeting on the Gender-Responsive Public Procurement (GRPP) Policy at the Kaduna State Public Procurement Agency (KADPPA).
The meeting brought together key stakeholders from government institutions and civil society organizations to review the progress made in the implementation of the GRPP Policy, which is one of the key milestones under the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Extended State Action Plan III (2024–2027).
The meeting also served as a platform to gather technical inputs and recommendations from government representatives, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders on practical strategies for creating awareness, strengthening enforcement, and monitoring the compliance of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and Local Government Areas (LGAs) with the GRPP Policy during the implementation
