“For every survivor who was told to stay silent, this judgment is a reminder that justice is still possible.”

Gender Awareness Trust celebrates the Supreme Court judgment affirming the 12-year prison sentence of a child ra**st in a case prosecuted by Naptip Nigeria

Behind this judgment is the courage of a young survivor who spoke up despite fear and intimidation. Behind it is also the persistence of institutions and individuals who refused to let the case die quietly.

We commend NAPTIP and the Nigerian judiciary for standing firm in the pursuit of justice and accountability.

Gender Awareness Trust we will continue to advocate for safer communities where survivors are protected, heard, and supported.

Happy New Week from all of us at Gender Awareness Trust.

Let’s talk about something that shapes how we live, work, and relate every day, gender awareness.

True progress happens when we begin to see people beyond stereotypes, listen without bias, and create space where everyone has equal dignity and opportunity, regardless of gender.

This week, may we all choose awareness over assumption, respect over bias, and inclusion over limitation.

This week, we pause to appreciate the people and partners working tirelessly to advance gender equality and create safer, fairer spaces for everyone.

As we head into the weekend, may we all take a moment to rest, reflect, and return stronger for the work ahead.

Look out the window and make sure you smile to nature.

See you next week, still committed, still pushing, still believing in equality for all.

Happy New Week, lovelies.

This week, may we choose kindness in how we see and treat one another, regardless of gender.

A little more understanding. A little more respect. A little more care in our words and actions.

The world feels better when we simply treat people well.

Here’s to a gentle and thoughtful week ahead.

It’s another day to honour the work that doesn’t always get noticed.

The care that holds people up. The emotional effort no one logs on a timesheet. The steady resistance to bias that shows up in everyday moments.

Work isn’t only what is paid for. It’s also what keeps life, people, and systems moving.

Happy Labour Day

New week, same commitment.

May we continue to do the work and still find reasons to smile, even in the small wins along the way.

What if Friday wasn’t just about rest… but about reset?

TGIF, but not just “Thank God It’s Friday”, today we’re choosing Thank God I’m Free. Free to speak up. Free to be heard. Free to stand for fairness, respect, and equality.

As you unwind today, remember: real freedom isn’t just the weekend vibe… it’s a world where everyone gets equal opportunities, equal voices, and equal respect.

So laugh, dance, relax, but don’t forget to stand for something that matters. Because awareness is power, and power creates change.

Happy Friday 💙

Impact is not just what we say. It is what changes in people because of what we do.

We see this every day. People come into our programmes unsure, sometimes silent, sometimes unsure of their role in supporting survivors. But they don’t leave the same way.

They leave with clarity. With confidence. With a new understanding that supporting survivors is not about judgment or blame, but about standing up, speaking out, and connecting people to the help they need.

This is what we pride ourselves on. Building people who don’t look away, but step in with empathy and responsibility.

Because real impact is not just knowledge. It is transformation that shows up in action.

A new week, and the work continues.

This week, we choose to challenge bias, to speak up, and to create spaces where everyone feels safe and valued. Progress may be slow, but it is worth it.

We’re showing up again. And we’re not backing down.

We are still working toward a world where gender equity is something people actually feel in their daily lives, not just something we talk about.

It is about safety, respect, and being able to move through the world without fear or bias.

Real change is slow, but it is built in everyday moments where people choose fairness over silence.

And that is the work we will keep showing up for.
