What does it take to build communities where people are protected from exploitation and human trafficking?
It starts with awareness, collaboration, and collective action. Over the weekend, Gender Awareness Trust (G*T), in collaboration with the Kaduna State Taskforce Against Human Trafficking, joined hands to commemorate the 2026 World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, creating space to reflect on the urgent need to prevent trafficking, protect vulnerable persons, and strengthen efforts towards ending exploitation.
The Kaduna State Taskforce Against Human Trafficking, established by the Executive Governor of Kaduna State and chaired by the Attorney General of the State, continues to coordinate efforts among stakeholders to address human trafficking and promote justice for victims and survivors.
We believe that ending human trafficking requires everyone’s commitment. Through advocacy, education, and partnerships, we can work towards a society where every individual lives with dignity, freedom, and safety.
