KADUNA— ACReSAL’s highest decision-making body on ground ahead of the ongoing Mid-Term Review and Additional Financing mission.

This evening, Hon. Minister of Environment Balarabe Abbas Lawal, Hon. Minister of Water Resources & Sanitation Engr. Prof. Joseph Utsev, and Hon. Minister of State for Agriculture & Food Security Sen. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi arrived Kaduna state for tomorrow’s MTR workshop and AF consultations.

The Ministers were received by Hon. Abubakar Buba, Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Kaduna State.

Discussions tonight focus on strengthening coordination across Environment, Water, and Agriculture to tackle climate change, land degradation, and food insecurity in semi-arid Nigeria. The goal: scale climate-smart solutions that protect ecosystems and improve livelihoods.

Three ministries, one mission: scale Nigeria’s climate resilience. Strategic sessions begin tomorrow at Fifth Chukker Hotel.

The Project Coordinator Kaduna ACReSAL Hadiza I Halid Esq has lead the Kaduna SPIU Team and Stakeholders form Kaduna State to the Appraisal and Validation of Nine (9) Strategic Catchment Management Plan (SCMPs) Developed by ACReSAL Project.

The Kaduna State specifically falls within which are Sarkin-Powa-Kaduna Catchment, Benue - Mada Catchment, Gurara - Gbako catchment.

The appraisal and validation exercise is taking place at Haris Hotel, FCT Abuja.
