Izam Environmental Care Centre (IZAMEC) is an environmental organization that mobilizes communities particularly its youths, to conserve the built and natural environment and promote healthy lifestyles. IZAMEC was founded by Professor Yohannna Izam in 2013 as a registered NGO by the corporate affairs commission of Nigeria to respond to the poor environmental state of rural and urban settlements. I

ZAMEC encourages groups of young people to work together to undertake environmental sanitation campaigns in their neighborhood grow seedlings and plant trees and receive small monetary token and certification for their work. The young environmental Leaders Programmed engages youths in an annual essay competition which also comes out with a prize
