What powers a cleaner city when the lights go out? ☀️🌍

At Jos Green Centre, we believe sanitation should never stop because of power challenges. That is why the SANE CITY Project is embracing solar energy — a smart, clean, and sustainable solution powering safer sanitation systems for communities.

From lighting public toilets to supporting ventilation and daily operations, solar power helps us provide dignified sanitation services while protecting the environment at the same time.

Why does this matter?
Because clean energy means:
✅ Cleaner environments
✅ Reduced pollution
✅ Lower operational costs
✅ Reliable sanitation services
✅ A healthier and safer community for everyone

Every ray of sunlight helping power these facilities is a step toward a greener, smarter, and more sustainable Jos.

Clean Energy. Clean City. Better Future. 💚

What does your market look like? 👀

Across Plateau State, we are beginning to see positive efforts toward a cleaner and more organized city. The Plateau State Government, alongside environmental agencies and sanitation stakeholders, deserves commendation for the work being done so far in improving public spaces, road sanitation, waste management, and environmental awareness.

But the truth is — we can do better. Much better.

A truly modern and sustainable market should have:

♻️ Proper waste disposal systems
🚮 Waste bins at strategic locations
🚰 Functional drainage systems
🚻 Clean and accessible public toilets
🌱 Green and eco-friendly spaces
🚛 Regular waste collection
💡 Good lighting and safe walkways
👥 Organized trading spaces and public hygiene enforcement

Clean markets are not just about appearance — they affect our health, safety, economy, tourism, and quality of life.

Every blocked drainage, every indiscriminate waste dump, and every ignored sanitation issue eventually affects us all through flooding, disease outbreaks, pollution, and environmental degradation.

The city we want will not happen by chance. It will happen when citizens choose:
✔️ Good policies
✔️ Responsible leadership
✔️ Proper waste disposal habits
✔️ Civic responsibility
✔️ Community participation

A clean, healthy, and safe city benefits everyone.

Let us all be part of building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Jos. 🌍💚

Polluted water, polluted life. What we dump today flows back to us tomorrow. 💧

30/04/2026

The rains have started—and the impact of careless waste disposal is clear: blocked drainages, polluted water, and flooding.

When waste is dumped irresponsibly, it always finds its way into our drains and rivers, putting lives at risk.

This is not just environmental—it’s a public safety issue in Jos.

Dispose of waste properly. Use bins. Keep your surroundings clean.

Clean environment. Safe water. Healthy community.

The responsibility is ours. Act now.
