Kids With A Vision Foundation (K-WAVF) Kids With A Vision Foundation focused on Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Crisis Communities This position is both challenging and rewarding.

Position (living into our mission/overview)
K-WAVF’s mission statement is key in developing resident character and good morals in children holistically, entailing constant mentoring,
role-modeling, advising, daily services of care-support, love and supervising resident(s), modeling healthy, spiritual, and holistic moral home disciplines. Set and maintain healthy boundaries and loving relationships within a family environment for residents of all ages. We all are mission-minded and have a vision for changing lives and positive transformation for each resident. We are wired with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, handle stress well, exercise self-control, and effectively interact with sensitivity and responsiveness to diversity including cultural differences. Displaying a willingness to enforce the rules and guidelines set forth by staff and the residents, and actively supporting the direction of the set core values.

The Nigerian Girl Guide Association, Plateau State Chapter, paid a visit to our orphanage. The Association, a national organization, is committed to advocating for, empowering, and developing girls’ confidence and character through leadership training and community service.

The team was led by Mrs. Judith S. Fidelis, the State Commissioner, alongside other executive members.

During their visit, they officially established a Girl Guide Club in our home and engaged the children in various play sessions and exciting games. They also educated the young girls on the importance of being “Prepared” at all times, encouraging them to always do their best, serve others, and fulfill their duties to God.

The Girl Guide Club further inspired the girls in our orphanage to grow into responsible citizens by embracing volunteerism and participating in programs focused on training and empowering young women for a brighter and more successful future.
