World Digital Learning Day 2026 Building Digital Futures for Public Education

Today we celebrate the shift from paper to digital learning. Tools like the Nigeria Learning Passport (NLP), which is designed to help children access curriculum aligned lessons online and offline, reach even remote areas.
In Borno and Plateau states, the Mercy Eleos Frontida Foundation (MEFF) is expanding digital learning for children, training and building teachers’ capacity to become mentors, and making education accessible to every learner.
Digital learning = equity, skills, and a future where every leaner can thrive! 📚💻

Through your support, we reached rural communities—particularly IDPs, women, youth and PWD's, through collaborative efforts that promote social harmony, resilience, and inclusion.

Despite a challenging humanitarian landscape, 2025 stood out as a year of impact, learning, and collective strength. Your partnership enabled meaningful interventions, strengthened local capacities, and restored hope in communities that need it most.

We sincerely appreciate the support and partnership of PLRCAP, NIF, UNFPA, AUN, Norway, UNDP, NRC, PLAN, Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme, El-Ezhar, Amazon, MEFF, Clarion for Hope Initiative, Call to Action, NAWLO, NANGO, and the Adamawa State Government.

PROUD MOMENT FOR MERCY ELEOS FRONTIDA FOUNDATION MAIDUGURI OFFICE

Today, we celebrate excellence, resilience, and the unstoppable spirit of our children. 💙

UNICEF, in collaboration with the Borno State Ministry of Education, hosted the 2025 Nigerian Learning Passport (NLP) Competition, brought together CSOs and brilliant young learners across the state.

Out of 9 award categories, Mercy Eleos Frontida Foundation (Maiduguri Office) proudly brought home 5 major awards:
🏆 1st Position – Senior Secondary
🏆 1st, 2nd & 3rd – Junior Secondary
🏆 3rd – Primary Category

These wins are not just medals they are stories of hope, hard work, and the power of giving children the right platform to shine. Our students stood tall, confident, and fearless and they made us proud.

To UNICEF, the Ministry of Education, our volunteers, teachers, and every child who participated: thank you for believing, showing up, and pushing forward.

This is more than success.
This is the future rising from Maiduguri. 💙

On Thursday, November 13th, 2025, Mercy Eleos Frontida Foundation (MEFF) conducted a step-down training for teachers of Government Secondary School Kufang, Jos, Plateau State. The session focused on equipping them with the skills to use the Nigeria Learning Passport (NLP) app to enhance their teaching delivery and improve students’ learning experience.

The training was highly successful and engaging, with teachers actively participating and asking questions for further clarification about the app and the program. Their excitement was evident as they discovered a more accessible and innovative method of teaching—beyond the traditional reliance on textbooks, which are often expensive and underutilized by students.
