π³π¬ IT IS TIME TO CELEBRATE NIGERIA!
Nigeria and Nigerians are Godβs heritage, and we remain strategically positioned in His purposes and plans for the nations.
At 66, we cannot but thank God for a nation that has journeyed through local, regional, and international politics, threats, biases, challenges, and manipulation, yet has survived, endured, and continues to grow.
We may not yet be where we desire to be, but we cannot deny the power, presence, protection, providence, and purpose of God over Nigeria.
Our national colours speak powerfully. Green represents agriculture, fertility, and abundance, but it can also remind us of preservation and hope. In Revelation, the green things of the earth are specifically mentioned among what was spared from destruction (Revelation 9:4).
Nevertheless, Godβs purposes require a corresponding response from His people.
From the earliest missionary movements, Nigeria has occupied a distinctive place in the hearts, prayers, and labours of men and women who believed God had a purpose for this nation. We remember with gratitude pioneers such as Pa S. G. Elton and his family, whose lives and ministry reflected a deep commitment to Godβs purposes in Nigeria.
Nigeria stands at a tipping point.
We have become increasingly significant economically and strategically, but our greatest need is deeper than economic development. We need an authentic rebirth of Nigeria and Nigerians, a spiritual and moral renewal that will usher us into a season of righteousness, creativity, innovation, influence, power, and prosperity.
Our aspiration must be greater than escaping the description of a developing or underdeveloped nation. We must pursue the emergence of a developed, productive, just, prosperous, and purposeful Nigeria.
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE?
There is a general call to Nigeria and Nigerians: RETURN TO THE LORD.
Let us return in honest and wholehearted repentance, from known and unknown sins, from corruption and compromise, from injustice and indifference.
Let us become people of the Book.
Let us become truthful and faithful, loving and generous, just and compassionate. Let righteousness become our culture and integrity our identity.
Then our light will shine, and our darkness will give way to the light of a renewed nation.
βArise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.β
Isaiah 60:1
Join a community within your city of genuine seekers who are pursuing the pathway of repentance, reconciliation, renewal, restoration, and revival.
The transformation of Nigeria will require the participation of Nigerians.
Let us seek the Lord, not only for ourselves, but for our families, our communities, our cities, and our nation, Nigeria.
βAnd the government will be upon His shoulder.β
Isaiah 9:6
π³π¬ Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!
Nigeria shall fulfil her God-given purpose among the nations.
