For the past two years, God has been doing something beautiful at the CMO Learning Centre.
It started as a simple vision—to help children in our host community learn to read, write, and speak English well. Not to replace school, but to remove the barrier that keeps so many children from thriving in formal education. Once a child can read, a whole new world opens up.
We are grateful to say that in July 2026, we transitioned three of our children into regular school. Their progress in reading, writing, and speaking gave them the confidence to take that step. That alone makes every effort worth it.
But beyond academics, we are discipling these children. We are raising them to know God, to love His Word, and to walk in faith. That is the heart of what we do.
As we prepare to welcome 17 children back in September 2026, we are asking God for more—not just more numbers, but more impact. We want to reach even more children in this community, and we want to do it wisely and prayerfully.
If you feel led to stand with us, here are some specific ways you can be part of what God is doing:
📡 Internet access – We hope to get mobile Starlink so that skilled teachers and volunteers from anywhere in the world can teach our children virtually. If you can tell a Bible story, teach English, or support reading lessons from a distance, please reach out.
💻 Computers – We would love to set up computer classes for children in the community. This is another door for learning and exposure.
📖 ACE PACES and reading materials – We currently use ACE PACES and would welcome support with these or any other reading resources.
📚 A community library – We dream of setting up a small library right here in the community. When a child can read, surrounding them with books—especially Bibles—accelerates their learning and deepens their faith. We welcome children's Bibles and books, whether as gifts for the children or for the library.
🙋🏽♀️ Short-term mission volunteers – If you live in Jos and would love to serve with us in person, please get in touch. We would love to have you.
💰 Administrative and staff support – Running the centre comes with expenses—good staff, materials, and logistics. If the Lord leads you to support us in this way, we receive it with gratitude.
Above all, we ask for your prayers. Pray for us, for the children, and for the work of the Lord to continue to progress—not for our name, but for His glory alone.
