DAY 5/6 – ScreenGramm 2026

The final stretch of ScreenGramm 2026 carried a mix of flexibility, resilience, and celebration.

Day 5 was originally scheduled as Writing Day, a time for participants to translate their learning into a 5-minute Screenplay. However, due to the Sallah break, participants continued their work independently from home, showing commitment and discipline beyond the classroom.

Day 6 brought everything together- extended to accommodate both the writing process and closing activities, creating a full and rewarding final day.

Creative Sessions: Participants engaged in two impactful sessions:

-Responsible Citizenship led by Mr. Eddie Oguns, who challenged participants to think critically about their roles in society, especially in light of upcoming elections, emphasizing awareness, responsibility, and active participation.

-Intellectual Property by Mrs. Mayo Mafulul, who once again delivered a powerful session on the value of protecting creative work, leaving participants better informed about ownership and rights in the creative industry.

While being supervised by the ScreenGramm team, participants continued developing their screenplays, applying the principles learned throughout the program, bringing their ideas to life with clarity, structure, and voice

The day concluded with the Presentation of Certificates, marking not just the end of a training, but the beginning of new creative journeys.

ScreenGramm 2026 was more than a workshop, it was a space for learning, expression, reflection, and growth.

And this is just the beginning.

DAY 4 – ScreenGramm 2026

Day 4 of ScreenGramm 2026 took on a more reflective and interactive tone, as participants engaged deeply with both personal expression and technical craft.

Creative Session: Today’s session took a unique turn as the conversation was driven by the participants themselves. They openly shared their biggest frustrations about Nigeria and explored practical ways they can contribute to change through creativity, storytelling, and active citizenship. It was an honest, thought-provoking exchange that highlighted the power of young voices.

Main Session: Mrs. Alice Jumoke Fasakin facilitated a detailed session on “The Difference Between Stage and Screen Writing,” breaking down the structural, stylistic, and technical distinctions between both forms in a clear and relatable way.

This was followed by Amb. Vivien Abara, who led a session on “Grammar for Visual Storytelling,” helping participants understand how strong language use supports clarity, meaning, and impact in their scripts.

Another day of insight, reflection, and growth.

The journey continues.
