Beneficiaries of the Dachung Bagos Foundation Scholarship Scheme Inducted as Medical Laboratory Scientists

The Dachung Bagos Foundation Scholarship Scheme, which supports students in secondary and tertiary education, has some beneficiaries who were recently inducted by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) as Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the College of Medical Sciences at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital (JUTH) in Lamingo, Jos.

This comprehensive scholarship program is fully funded and covers students from their first year through graduation. The second cohort of inductees includes Esther Atong (MLS), Ibrahim Mamman Pate (MLS), Hannatu Agwom (MLS), and Nyam Choji (MLS). Many other beneficiaries are expected to graduate in the upcoming academic session.

This scheme is just one of several scholarship initiatives that Hon. Bagos is currently supporting, which extend across secondary, tertiary, and postgraduate education.

In a separate statement, the inductees expressed their profound gratitude to the Honourable former member of the House of Representatives, Dachung Bagos, for this life-transforming opportunity.

They highlighted that the scholarship comes from a place of inclusivity and equity, aimed at equipping the next generation of leaders, even after he has left office. This serves as a testament that many others can benefit from this program.

Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation Visits Riyom IDP Camp, Donates Food and Clothes, Conducts Medical Outreach and Sanitation Sensitization

As part of its commitment to sustainable human development and humanitarian service, the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation visited the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in Riyom, where it donated food items and clothes, and carried out a medical outreach alongside a sanitation and hygiene sensitization program.

In his welcome remarks, the Gwom Rwei Riyom, Da Samuel Jok, expressed deep appreciation to the Foundation for identifying with his people in their time of need. He noted that the Foundation’s intervention demonstrated that being people-centered is the true measure of leadership.

The Red Cross Camp Coordinator, Chundung Dyek, also thanked the Foundation for coming to their aid through the donation of food items and the medical outreach. She described the gesture as a miracle and an answered prayer, explaining that the camp had been unable to prepare any meals for the past three weeks.

The sanitation and environmental sensitization exercise was conducted by staff of the Plateau State Environmental and Sanitation Agency (PESPSA). The Foundation extended its gratitude to the Plateau State Drugs and Medical Commodities Management Agency (PS - DMCMA), volunteers, and members of Team Bagos for contributing to the success of the visit.

Highlights of the outreach included free haircuts for children, hair washing for women, free malaria testing and treatment for various illnesses, communal cooking for the IDPs, and sanitation exercises such as drainage cleaning to improve hygiene in the camp.

PLATEAU YOUTH COUNCIL PYC JOS NORTH CHAPTER BENEFITS FROM THE DACHUNG MUSA BAGOS FOUNDATION ENTREPRENEURSHIP GRANT TO YOUTHS

Some members of the Plateau Youth Council PYC Jos North Chapter were beneficiaries of the grants donated to the Jos North Chapter of the PYC by the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation.

The disbursement was preceded by two days of intensive training by the Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency (PLASMIDA) as part of their support to the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation initiative to empower the next generation of leaders across communities.

The beneficiaries were encouraged to use the grant to build and empower themselves. This grant, according to the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation Executive Director represented by the Programs Manager Mr. Alpha Dali, challenged the beneficiaries to see the grant as support to boost their SMEs and build them into becoming self-reliant and empowered youths.

The PYC Chairman Jos North appreciated the foundation for the kind gesture and challenged the beneficiaries to be transparent and accountable to attract more of such kind gestures. Also, the beneficiaries appreciated the foundation for the kind gesture and meaningful empowerment. The promise to use the funds to increase the fortune of their businesses so as to encourage more of such grants to other youths.

Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation Empowers Plateau Youths with Economic Grants of One Million Naira

The Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation has taken a significant step towards empowering youths in Plateau State by providing economic grants of one million naira to the Plateau Youth Council (PYC) Jos North Chapter. It will be recalled that the foundation has been actively supporting vulnerable children and youths through various initiatives.

Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has donated ₦2 million to support vulnerable children in 20 schools across the 6 LGAs of Plateau State! 🙌🏾

Each school received ₦100,000 to cover school levies for children in need, ensuring no child is left behind due to financial hardship. 💙📚

This act of compassion was part of the Children’s Day celebration hosted by the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation, with over 500 students in attendance.
