A new month brings new opportunities to make a difference.

At CPCI, we believe that prevention, awareness, and early action remain some of the most powerful tools in improving health outcomes and saving lives.

As we step into June, we renew our commitment to promoting cancer prevention, strengthening health education, encouraging early detection, and supporting healthier communities.

Every conversation matters.
Every awareness effort matters.
Every step toward prevention matters.

Welcome to June.

Here's to a month of impact, hope, and healthier futures.

To***co use remains one of the leading preventable risk factors for cancer and other health conditions. Yet many ni****ne and to***co products are increasingly designed and presented in ways that appear attractive, particularly to young people through flavors, packaging, and digital influence.

This year's World No To***co Day theme, "Unmasking the Appeal – Countering Ni****ne and To***co Addiction," reminds us to look beyond marketing and recognize the long-term consequences hidden behind the appeal.

Protecting young people begins with awareness, informed choices, and creating healthier environments where prevention comes first.

At CPCI, we believe that prevention remains one of the strongest tools in improving health outcomes and reducing future cancer burden.

Today, on World Blood Cancer Day, we join the global call to raise awareness about blood cancers, including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.

Blood cancers affect thousands of individuals and families worldwide, yet awareness, timely recognition, and access to care remain important challenges, particularly in many low-resource settings.

Awareness matters because early recognition and timely action can improve outcomes and give patients a better chance at treatment and support.

At CPCI, we remain committed to promoting prevention, strengthening awareness, encouraging early health-seeking behavior, and contributing to healthier communities through education and advocacy.

Every conversation, every awareness effort, and every step toward early action matters.

Children deserve more than celebration. They deserve the opportunity to grow, dream, learn, and live healthy lives.

As we mark Children's Day, we are reminded that protecting children also means paying attention to their health and well-being. Many childhood illnesses, including childhood cancers, can easily be overlooked, making awareness and early action important.

At CPCI, our commitment remains rooted in prevention, early detection, and building a future where children have a better chance to thrive.

Today, we celebrate children and reaffirm our commitment to healthier futures, greater hope, and opportunities for every child.

Happy Children's Day.

Today, we join the global community in marking World Ovarian Cancer Day under the theme: “No Woman Left Behind.”

Too many women still face delays in awareness, diagnosis, and access to care. This is why conversations around women’s health, early detection, and timely action remain important.

At CPCI, we continue to emphasize the value of awareness, listening to symptoms early, and seeking medical attention on time.

Because every woman deserves the chance to be informed, supported, and cared for.

Today, we recognise and appreciate the efforts of workers across all sectors.

Work keeps our communities moving, and behind every role is a person whose health and well-being matter.

At CPCI, we are reminded that prevention, early detection, and access to care are essential not only in hospitals, but in everyday life - including the workplace.

As we mark Workers’ Day, we encourage a culture where health is protected, symptoms are not ignored, and care is sought early.
Because healthy workers build stronger communities.

Today marks the close of World Immunization Week.

Under the theme “For every generation, vaccines work,” this week highlights the role of vaccines in protecting lives and preventing disease.

Vaccination remains one of the most effective tools in public health - helping to prevent conditions that can lead to serious health outcomes, including certain cancers.

HPV vaccination for example plays an important role in reducing the risk of cervical cancer.

At CPCI, we continue to emphasize prevention as a critical foundation for better health outcomes. Because protecting lives often begins before illness ever starts.

Last week, CPCI had the opportunity to be part of the SIOP Africa Conference, a gathering of leading voices in childhood cancer care across the continent.

As part of this, we presented our work on strengthening early childhood cancer detection through community and youth-led engagement in Nigeria.

This work is rooted in a simple but urgent reality: many children are not diagnosed late because treatment does not exist, but because early signs are not recognized and referral pathways are not activated in time.

Through our initiatives, including the Joseph Hope Project, we continue to focus on improving awareness, strengthening early recognition, and supporting pathways that connect children to care earlier.

Being part of SIOP Africa also provided an important opportunity to engage in broader conversations around health system readiness, reinforcing the need to connect community-level efforts with stronger clinical and system responses.

We are encouraged by the conversations, the shared commitment, and the growing recognition that early detection must remain a priority in improving childhood cancer outcomes.

The work continues.

On the occasion of the commemoration of the World Health Day, today; we are reminded that strong health systems are not built only through treatment, but through prevention and early detection.

When people understand symptoms early and have access to timely care, outcomes improve.

At CPCI, we continue to emphasize prevention as the foundation of better health, and early action as a critical step in saving lives.

Easter is a reminder of hope.

A reminder that even in the face of pain, uncertainty, and loss, life still holds meaning, and renewal is possible.

In health and in life, this message matters.

It reminds us why we continue to promote prevention, encourage early action, and support one another - because every life is valuable, and every life deserves a chance.

As we mark this season, we reflect on the power of hope, the importance of care, and the responsibility we share in protecting life.
