...ON CALL FOR WITHDRAWAL OF DSS IN MANGU LGA...

1. For some Fülãn¡ people to call for the removal of the DSS raises questions about what may be driving such demands, especially when efforts to identify those behind terrorist attacks are ongoing and yielding results.

2. The DSS must be allowed to carry out its professional and lawful duties to identify those responsible for attacks and killings of innocent natives in Plateau State.

3. We must support any security agency that demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a genuine commitment to ending insecurity in our communities.

4. Nobody, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation, should shield suspected terrorists or undermine legitimate efforts to bring perpetrators to justice.

5.Our priority must be to identify those responsible for the attacks, expose their sponsors where evidence establishes their involvement, and dismantle the networks behind the recurring violence.And we thank the DSS for ident¡fying them.

6. We will resist, through every lawful and peaceful means, any attempt to remove the DSS from affected areas in Plateau State. Our communities deserve protection, justice, and lasting peace.

7.Rather than call for the withdrawal of the DSS, we are calling for increased deployment of its operatives to communities affected by persistent attacks and killings across Plateau State. These areas need stronger intelligence gathering, surveillance, and proactive security measures.

8.The government must strengthen the presence and operational capacity of DSS in affected communities. Our people must not be abandoned to recurring violence. We demand justice for victims, accountability for perpetrators, and an end to the cycle of attacks and killings.

9. Our position is clear: we stand for justice, the protection of innocent lives, and lasting peace in Plateau State.

A NEW RESPONSIBILITY, A GREATER CALL TO SERVE 🇳🇬🤸🏾‍♂️

I am deeply honoured and grateful to announce my appointment by the Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria (GFN) as National Team Head Coach, Power Tumbling/DMT (Men Junior).

This appointment is a great privilege and a responsibility I do not take lightly. I sincerely appreciate the Executive Board of the Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria for the confidence reposed in me and for recognizing my dedication, contributions and commitment to the development of gymnastics in Nigeria.

As I take on this new responsibility, my commitment remains clear: to develop young talents, mentor athletes, build future champions and contribute meaningfully to the growth of Nigerian gymnastics at the national, African and global levels.

I am particularly excited about the opportunity to work with our young athletes through the Catch Them Young Programme, helping them discover their potential and giving them the guidance, discipline and support required to excel.

I am grateful to everyone who has supported my journey—from my athletes, colleagues and coaches to the leadership of Plateau State Sports Council, Plateau State Gymnastics, my family, friends and the entire gymnastics community.

This is not just an appointment; it is a call to greater service.

I accept this responsibility with humility, determination and a strong belief in what Nigerian gymnastics can achieve.

Together, we will develop talent.

Water Supply Upgrade in Miango Town by TASTE NIGERIA

Miango, Plateau State – October 6, 2026 – Today at the Miango Youths Centre, TASTE NIGERIA officially commissioned a major water supply upgrade in partnership with Xylem Watermark, marking a transformative step toward sustainable access to clean water for the Miango community.

Speaking at the event, the Country Director of TASTE NIGERIA, Hon. Nuhu Yakubu Chayi, emphasized the urgent need for the upgrade, citing the persistent shortage and rationing of water among regions within Miango. He highlighted that the project is designed to address these challenges and ensure equitable distribution of water resources.

The initiative was made possible through collaboration with Xylem Watermark, Xylem’s global corporate social responsibility program dedicated to solving water challenges worldwide. The program partners with leading nonprofits such as UNICEF, TASTE NIGERIA Without Borders to deliver clean water, sanitation, hygiene education, and emergency response solutions.

Mr. Abraham, Sales Representative of Xylem Water Solutions, expressed his joy and confidence in partnering with TASTE NIGERIA, noting his satisfaction in working with an organization committed to improving lives. Miango is the first community to benefit from the newly installed pump, which has the capacity to fill the town’s water tank twice daily. The initial test run was a resounding success, bringing relief and optimism to residents.

The Chairman of the Miango Youths Development Association (MYDA), Mr. Sunday Gado Dillas, described the project as a “fortunate breakthrough” for the people of Miango. He extended heartfelt appreciation to Xylem Water Solutions for their support and thanked TASTE NIGERIA for its unwavering dedication to the community.

A resident and direct beneficiary also shared his gratitude, noting that the upgrade will ease the daily struggle for water and improve the quality of life for families across Miango.
