In commemoration of the , Wahatana Empowerment Initiative visited the Namtari community to raise awareness on menstrual hygiene management and promote healthy practices among adolescent girls and women.
As part of the outreach, reusable sanitary pads were distributed to beneficiaries, helping to improve access to safe, affordable, and sustainable menstrual hygiene products.
Through education and support, we continue to advocate for menstrual health, dignity, and the empowerment of girls and women in our communities.

Wahatana Empowerment Initiative (WEI) actively participated in the Validation Workshop for the Adamawa State Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Prevention of and Response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Humanitarian and Development Operations. We are honored to contribute our voice and expertise toward strengthening a coordinated, survivor-centered approach to preventing and responding to GBV across Adamawa State. This validation workshop marks a significant step in ensuring these SOPs are practical, inclusive, and effective for all humanitarian and development actors working to protect women, girls, boys, and vulnerable groups. At WEI, we remain fully committed to translating these guidelines into real impact — through awareness, prevention, response services, and community empowerment. Together, we are building a safer Adamawa where GBV is prevented and survivors receive the justice and support they deserve.

Behind every hospital bed is a story, a family, and a person hoping for better days.
This is why Wahatana Empowerment Initiative stepped into the community with a mission to serve, support, and stand with those in need through its Medical Outreach program.
From providing essential medical items to spending meaningful moments with patients, the outreach brought comfort and relief to both children and adults receiving care. What seemed like a simple visit became a source of encouragement and happiness for many families.
True impact is not measured only by what is given, but by the lives touched and the hope restored.
Together, we can continue building communities where care, compassion, and support reach everyone who needs it most.
