HUMAN TRAFFICKING: PREVENTION STARTS WITH AWARENESS

Human trafficking is not just a crime it is an attack on human dignity, freedom, and the future of vulnerable people.

Traffickers often take advantage of poverty, unemployment, lack of information, and the desire for better opportunities. False promises of jobs, education, travel, or a better life can become a pathway to exploitation.

Prevention begins with awareness.
Know the warning signs. Verify opportunities before accepting them. Be careful about who you trust with your children and loved ones. Educate young people about the dangers of unsafe migration, deceptive job offers, and exploitation.

Most importantly, speak up when something does not feel right. Communities, families, schools, government agencies, civil society organizations, and individuals all have a role to play in preventing trafficking and protecting those at risk.

At WOVAIDE, we believe that every person deserves freedom, dignity, safety, and the opportunity to live without exploitation.
Let us educate. Let us protect. Let us speak up. Let us prevent human trafficking.

Today being February 19th, 2026 WOVAIDE Team conducted a Sensitization for 30 Secondary school propriotors and Principals of Private Secondary Schools in Takum on Anti-Bullying Policy. Reports from research revealed that 75% to 80% of students are victims of bully in schools. This impact negatively on their mental health contributing to thier perception of the school as unsafe learning environment. To ensure confidence in students and promote learning process, WOVAIDE has organized a reorientation dialogue to raise wareness on the Anti-Bully Policy 2025, vigilance and compliance by propeietors and principals of schools.
