Part of our efforts to preach the importance of mental health, substance abuse and personal self care, has yielded positive improvement to the few people I come in contact with.

Engaging young people had been our core values in ensuring we have a sarine environment that promotes healthy lifestyle and good mental wellness using every single medium possible.

We are glad that with this steps we are making meaningful contribution to our societies.

Prioritizing our mental health is important.

It is a universal human right.

βœ“ In a world where Mental Health is a taboo subject on the table of discussion

βœ“ In a world where speaking up about your mental health shows how weak you are as person

βœ“ In a world where the people who are assumed to have mental disorders are only those walking and behaving "abnormally" on the streets.

βœ“ In a world where men and boys are left to figure out how to cope with stressors and predisposed mental health disorders they encounter due to life events

βœ“ In a world where people feel going to see a therapist is "expensive" and would rather keep quite about how things are going wrong in their lives

βœ“ In a world where su***de and illicit substance abuse has become the alternative people would rather choose than to face the problem squarely and explore lasting solutions to cope

βœ“ In a world where people with mental disabilities are stereotyped and discriminated

βœ“ In a world where people don't have much knowledge on how to take care of their mental health

βœ“ We are here to talk about why our mental health is important

βœ“ We are here to enlighten, advocate and provide psychoeducation to as many as possible in Sub Saharan Africa.

βœ“ We are here to guide you explore evidence based lasting solutions to the problems you face.

βœ“ We are here for you.

Gender Based Violence (GBV) has been reported to of the leading under reported cases around the world. Predominantly, women and girls suffer more to GBV. Men and boys also fall victims to GBV but many are not reported because of either shame, cultural bound syndromes, and or fear of the unknown.

GBV undermines the health, dignity, security, and autonomy of it's victims, yet it remains shrouded in a culture of silence - UNFPA

What are the major causes of GBV and how can the inclusion of men and boys in GBV prevention and response bring a lasting solution?

Join this conversation with my sister and colleague Deborah Denis.

Drop your questions before the the conversation and we'll be glad to respond to you.
