CAN President Commends Ta'awunu Security, Pledges Full Cooperation in Iwo
Prince Adejobi Adekunle, the Iwo Chapter President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has commended Ta'awunu Security for carrying out its duties without religious bias and for its commitment to the safety of all residents in the community.
He made this known today, Sunday, May 24, 2026 during a security patrol across Iwo town organized to calm residents following rumours and fears surrounding alleged bandit activities in the area.
The Ta'awunu Security team, under the leadership of the Shaykh Daahood Himran MoLaasan, The Grand M***i Of Yoruba Land, DeLta & Edo State, moved around different parts of the town and also paid a courtesy visit to the CAN President and the association’s secretary. During the visit, the team emphasized that their mission is to support security agencies in protecting lives and properties irrespective of religion, tribe, or social status.
Speaking during the visit, the CAN secretary appreciated the efforts and courage of Taawun Security, noting that Christians in the community highly value their dedication and selfless service. He prayed that God would reward them abundantly for their sacrifices toward ensuring peace and security in Iwo land.
As a show of appreciation and solidarity, CAN presented a token of support to the security team and pledged its full cooperation with Taawun Security in promoting peace and safety within the community.
