60th Birthday Tribute to Prince Olukayode Dairo
Prince Olukayode Dairo, Chairman and Founder of Abeke Bernice Dairo Foundation, on the occasion of your 60th birthday, we celebrate not only the amazing greatness in your life but also the lasting legacy of compassion, humanity, leadership, and service you have created through the foundation.

Your vision since the establishment of the Foundation continues to reflect a deep commitment to social transformation through education, compassion, and community engagement. By prioritizing the needs of orphans, disadvantaged pupils, and vulnerable members of society, you have demonstrated that true leadership is measured by the ability to uplift others and restore dignity to those whose voices are often unheard. Through scholarships, educational support, and care for the elderly, the Foundation has opened doors of opportunity and inspired hope in many lives.

Your belief that education is the most powerful and veritable instrument for societal change has translated into tangible impact, supporting young students from primary school up to the university and providing care and palliatives to the aged within the community. These efforts reflect a rare blend of vision and humanity, one that strengthens communities and nurtures future generations.

Worthy of note, as you mark this diamond jubilee, we honour your unwavering dedication to humanity and your conviction that a society’s strength is defined by how it treats its most vulnerable members. Your vision and mission continue to inspire many to help build a more compassionate and equitable society.
We recall that one of your utmost aspirations is to further expand the scope of the Foundation’s interventions by increasing the number of beneficiaries, particularly supporting more students at the university level, so that many more young people can pursue their dreams through education. In this regard, friends, associates, and well-wishers who share in this noble vision are warmly encouraged to support the Foundation’s humanitarian mission. God bless you as you do so. Amen.

Happy New Year!
At the 2025 annual party of the Abeke Bernice Foundation, the Foundation reiterates its commitment, driven by a clear vision: to significantly contribute to social transformation by addressing vulnerability through education, compassion, and community engagement. Founded on the belief that sustainable development begins with people, the Foundation prioritises interventions that restore dignity, expand opportunity, and strengthen social bonds within underserved communities.

Worthy of note, education remains the cornerstone of the Abeke Bernice Dairo Foundation’s work. The Foundation recognises that access to quality education is often denied to children from disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly orphans and pupils/students from low-income families attending public primary schools. These early barriers, if left unaddressed, can permanently limit life chances and reinforce cycles of inequality.

In order to address this challenge, the ABD Foundation provides targeted, merit-based scholarships to underprivileged pupils/students who demonstrate academic potential and commitment to learning. The Foundation’s support goes beyond tuition, covering school fees, textbooks, stationery, and uniforms. Essentially, practical necessities often determine whether a child remains in school. With the combination of need and merit, the Foundation ensures that assistance is both equitable and impactful.

The Foundation’s educational interventions are designed not merely to keep children in school, but to build confidence, aspiration, and resilience. By supporting pupils through critical educational transitions, including entry into secondary school, the ABD Foundation helps beneficiaries envision futures shaped by opportunity rather than circumstance.

In line with its education initiatives, the ABD Foundation is also deeply committed to the empowerment and care of the aged and other vulnerable individuals within the community, just like the covid 19 period. Many elderly persons face isolation, neglect, and financial insecurity, often compounded by declining health and limited social support. The Foundation responds through palliative care, food assistance, and emotional support, ensuring that beneficiaries feel seen, valued, and cared for.

These interventions are guided by the understanding that caring for the elderly is not an act of charity alone, but a reflection of collective responsibility. By restoring dignity and human connection, the Foundation reinforces the idea that societal progress must be inclusive and intergenerational.

Beyond individual beneficiaries, the ABD Foundation actively engages in community development. It advocates for improved educational infrastructure, better teacher–pupil ratios, and safer, more supportive learning environments across Nigeria. Through collaboration with parents, schools, and local leaders, the Foundation works to uplift less privileged groups and promote shared ownership of development outcomes.

The Foundation’s work is anchored in a strong philosophical mission: the belief that education is a powerful tool for societal transformation, echoing the ideas of thinkers such as Nelson Mandela and Horace Mann. Equally central is the conviction that a society’s true strength is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable members. These values shape every programme and partnership undertaken by the ABD Foundation.

Since 2017, the ABD Foundation has recorded tangible impact. It has placed five pupils on scholarships, from primary school to Secondary School, and distributed palliatives to twenty elderly individuals. Today the ABD Foundation has about 12 students under its scholarship scheme and three of them are in the University.

Looking ahead, the ABD Foundation is committed to expanding its outreach, improving learning environments, deepening community engagement, and contributing to the reduction of inequality in the society.
