Kwara Needs Purposeful Leadership, Not Politics of Self-Interest.

_By Abdulkadir Shaffi Idowu_

The political topography in Kwara State has reached a point where citizens must carefully reflect on the kind of leadership they truly desire. Many political actors today appear to be more concerned with advancing their personal interests than serving the people who entrusted them with power.

Before the emergence of the "Otoge" movement, many of the politicians who are now regarded as influential learned the fundamentals of politics under the late Dr. Olusola Saraki and later worked closely with Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki. Today, some of those same individuals have chosen different political paths, yet history cannot erase the role the Saraki family played in shaping modern politics in Kwara State.

Political leadership should never be built on propaganda, deception, or temporary excitement. True leadership is measured by service, integrity, compassion, and a lasting commitment to the welfare of the people. The people of Kwara deserve honest governance that delivers meaningful development rather than empty promises.

Despite political opposition and changing circumstances, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has continued to support many Kwarans through humanitarian efforts and public service. His consistency has earned him the respect and loyalty of many citizens who believe his leadership has positively impacted the state.

As Kwara looks toward the future, many believe it is time to return to leadership founded on experience, consultation, and genuine concern for the people. Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale kawu Agaka FNSE, represents those values. He is known for listening before speaking, consulting widely before making decisions, and remaining calm and patient in addressing the needs of the people.

In a time when loud political rhetoric often dominates public discourse, Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka stands out for his thoughtful, people-centered approach to leadership. His vision is rooted in unity, development, and inclusive governance that gives every community a sense of belonging.

Kwara deserves leaders who inspire hope through action rather than words, who unite rather than divide, and who place the interests of the people above personal ambition. Many supporters believe Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka possesses these qualities and is prepared to provide the purposeful leadership needed to move Kwara State forward.

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE FROM THE DAN’IYA MONUMENT PROJECT (DMP)

To: Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka
PDP Governorship Candidate, Kwara State 2027

Date: May 24, 2026

Your Excellency-in-Waiting, Our Leader, Principal, and Mentor,

On behalf of the entire Dan’Iya Monument Project (DMP), we extend our warmest and heartfelt congratulations to you on your resounding victory and emergence as the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 Governorship Election in Kwara State.

Your declaration by the Chairman of the PDP at the Kwara State Party Secretariat, Ilorin, was more than the announcement of a candidate; it was the affirmation of a journey built on consistency, service, humility, and an unbreakable connection with the grassroots.

To us in the Dan’Iya Monument Project, this moment is deeply personal. Our motto, “Together We Can Do It,” has moved beyond words on banners into a living reality.

From the wards of Magaji Ngeri to communities across Kwara State, our volunteers worked tirelessly not for personal gain, but because of the belief that Kwara deserves a governor who understands the true meaning of leadership, inclusion, and development.

Your emergence as the PDP flagbearer comes at a defining moment in the history of our dear state. Kwara needs a leader who will consolidate and sustain the enduring legacy of His Excellency, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, deliver measurable progress across all sectors, and ensure that development reaches the last man in the last village. We strongly believe that you are that leader.

As we celebrate today, we also reaffirm our commitment:

1. To intensify our mobilization efforts across every polling unit in Kwara State.

2. To defend your mandate with truth, facts, and responsible engagement.

3. To ensure that the PDP remains united, strong, and fully prepared for victory in 2027.

This victory is more than a political achievement; it is a call to service, a call for unity within our great party, and a call to prepare for a people-oriented and issue-based campaign that reflects the true realities and aspirations of Kwarans.

Congratulations once again, Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka. The grassroots stood with you, the party has chosen you, and history beckons.

Together, we march forward.
