COURTESY VISIT AND APPRECIATION TO THE AUDITOR-GENERAL AND BRANCH LEADERSHIP
Following the successful hosting of the ANAN Kwara State Branch General Meeting by the Office of the Auditor-General, Kwara State, members of the Executive Committee paid a courtesy and appreciation visit to the Auditor-General for Kwara State, Alhaji Alayande Fatai Olajide, FCA, CFA, FCCrFA, FCCFI, in his office.
The visit was aimed at expressing the profound appreciation of the Branch for his distinguished presence at the meeting, his inspiring remarks, and the warm hospitality extended to members. During the visit, prayers were offered for the Auditor-General, seeking continued divine wisdom, strength, and greater accomplishments in service to the State and the accounting profession.
In his response, the Auditor-General appreciated the Executive Committee and members of the Branch for the honour and cordial engagement accorded him throughout the programme. He encouraged members to sustain unity, cooperation, and professional harmony within the Association, emphasizing that collective strength remains key to institutional progress and impact.
He further stressed the importance of strict adherence to the ethics, principles, and professional standards of accounting practice, while reiterating the need for continuous capacity development through active participation in the Association’s Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programmes, which he described as essential for maintaining professional relevance and excellence.
Thereafter, the Executive Committee proceeded on a courtesy visit to the office of the State Audit Chairman, Mr. King Hussein, CNA, where appreciation was also conveyed for his support and role in the successful hosting of the meeting. Prayers were equally offered for him, and he was commended for his commitment and contributions to the growth and smooth coordination of Branch activities.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ANAN KWARA STATE BRANCH GENERAL MEETING
The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Kwara State Branch, today successfully held its General Meeting, graciously hosted by the Office of the Auditor-General, Kwara State.
The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chairman, Pastor Oyinloye, CNA, on behalf of the Pioneer Digital Chairperson, Alhaja Ramat Remi Sulyman, FCNA.
Proceedings commenced with an insightful and inspiring opening address delivered by the Auditor-General for Kwara State, Alhaji Alayande Fatai Olajide, FCA, CFA, FCCrFA, FCCFI, who personally welcomed members and emphasized the imperatives of professionalism, accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership in advancing good governance and strengthening public financial management.
The Auditor-General was accompanied by distinguished members of his management team, comprising accomplished ANAN professionals within the Office of the Auditor-General. Among them was the ANAN Chairman of the Office of the Auditor-General, Mr. King Hussein, CNA, alongside other respected colleagues whose presence added prestige and value to the occasion.
The meeting afforded members the opportunity for meaningful professional engagement, robust deliberations, and the exchange of ideas on matters germane to the growth of the Association and the advancement of the accounting profession. Members also expressed their profound appreciation to the Office of the Auditor-General for the warm reception and exceptional hospitality extended to the Branch.

ANAN KWARA STATE BRANCH REPRESENTED AT WEDDING CEREMONY

The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Kwara State Branch, under the leadership of the State Chairperson, Hajiya Remi Sulyman, FCNA, was duly represented at the wedding ceremony of a distinguished member of the ANAN National Management Team.

The Branch delegation comprised members of the Executive Committee who attended the event on behalf of the Branch to celebrate and identify with the family on this joyous occasion.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

The Executive Committee and entire members of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Kwara State Branch, under the leadership of our State Chairperson, Alhaja Remi Sulyman, FCNA, regret to announce the passing of Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and current Pro-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete.

Professor Ambali was the beloved husband of our esteemed member, Hajia Aisha Abba Yusuf Ambali.

As Allah (SWT) has ordained, "Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we shall return." In this moment of grief, we join the family, friends, associates, and the entire academic community in mourning this great loss.

We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, showers His mercy upon him, grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and gives Hajia Aisha Abba Yusuf Ambali and the entire family the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

It is with a deep sense of sorrow and submission to the will of Almighty God that the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Kwara State Branch, announces the transition to glory of our distinguished senior professional colleague, Pastor Dr. Olufemi Adelekan, FCNA, ACTI (MN 1759).

Pastor Dr. Olufemi Adelekan was the Principal Partner of Olufemi Adelekan & Co., Certified National Accountants, and also a Senior Partner of Kehinde Oshagbemi & Co., Chartered Accountants. He was a highly respected professional whose dedication, integrity, and immense contributions to the accounting profession earned him admiration across the industry.

His passing is a great loss to the accounting profession, his associates, and the wider professional community. His legacy of excellence, mentorship, and commitment to professional development will continue to inspire generations of accountants.

On behalf of the Chairperson, Hajia Ramat Remi Sulyman, FCNA, the Executive Committee, and the entire membership of ANAN Kwara State Branch, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, professional colleagues, and all those affected by this painful loss.
