Vertex of Hope Initiative-VOHI under the Global Fund Project- GC-7 NACA- RSSH- C-19RM Project engaged the community leaders of Isale Asa Community in Balogun Fulani 3 in Ilorin South LGA in a fruitful and progressive deliberation on the need for the community to appreciate the existence of a primary health centre (PHC) in their community and embrace the responsibilities of having a sense of belonging by taking ownership of the facility through developmental initiatives and proper welfarism.

This collaborative effort was unanimously agreed that it will empower residents to responsibilities as well as give a sense of ownership.

Vertex of Hope Initiative-VOHI joined other CSOs and the world in commemorating the 2025 world environment day with the theme: "beatplasticpollution", this theme highlights the need for communities to begin to think about renewable energy rather than polluting the environment.

In commemoration of this year's environmental day, we embarked on an advocacy to MACFA Nigeria Enterprises a recycling agency on the need for partnership to clean up Kwara environmental space through deliberate sensitization and refuse removal from public spaces, considering the recent happenings of rainstorm destroying homes in the state. The discussion was a robust one and in anticipation that it would yield the desired result in due course.

This collaborative approach will not only empower residents to take charge of their environment and health but also foster a sense of ownership, accountability and development.

In "Accelerating right nutrition in Kwara State" Vertex of Hope Initiative-VOHI joined the world in collaboration with Kwara State Ministry of Health and to commemorate the 2025 today May 28th, 2025.

The Kwara government in commemoration of the 2025 world nutrition day launched an initiative called "Eat a Rainbow" campaign which is a call to healthy eating and healthy living.

A critical aspect of health and development, good nutrition is linked to improved child and maternal health, stronger immune systems, and a reduced risk of non-communicable diseases.
