OJAGBORO YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION TO CELEBRATE 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH COMMUNITY-FOCUSED ACTIVITIES
The Ojagboro Youth Development Association (OYDA) is proud to formally announce to the general public the celebration of its 20th Anniversary, marking two decades of dedicated service, youth development, community progress, and impactful leadership.
Since its establishment in 2006, OYDA has remained committed to promoting unity, empowering young people, supporting education, and advancing the overall development of the Ojagboro community. The 20th anniversary celebration will therefore serve as a moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to a greater future.
The anniversary, themed “Two Decades of Impact: Strengthening Youth Leadership for a Sustainable Future,” will be observed as a week-long celebration featuring a series of impactful programmes and activities designed to engage, empower, and benefit the entire community.
The grand finale of the celebration is scheduled to be held on Sunday, 31st May 2026, at 10:00am at Government Day Secondary School, Isale Koko, Ojagboro, Ilorin, Kwara State.
As part of the activities lined up for this historic celebration, the association has unveiled a rich programme lineup that reflects its longstanding commitment to youth advancement and community development.

* Inter-Community Football Competition
* Maiden Table Tennis Championship
* OYDA @20 Awareness Road Walk
* Free Medical Outreach
* Jumu’at Service
* Empowerment Programme
* Awards and Recognition Ceremony
* Launch of ICT Digital Skills Centre
* Launch of Education Trust Fund
* Ojagboro Annual Children's Party
Speaking on the forthcoming celebration, the Chairman of the Anniversary Committee, Mallam Sakariyah Shehu, described the anniversary as a major milestone that reflects the resilience, unity, and progress of the association over the past twenty years.
He appreciated past and present members, elders, stakeholders, and supporters whose contributions have sustained the vision of the association, while calling on all sons and daughters of Ojagboro, friends of the community, and the general public to join in celebrating this remarkable journey.
The 20th anniversary promises to be a memorable occasion filled with gratitude, development initiatives, and a bold vision for the future.
