EID-UL-MAWLID AN-NABAWI: Balogun Fulani Youths Celebrates Noble Birth of Prophet Muhammad, Advises Brethren to Emulate his Teachings

- Prays for the Peace, Stability and Properties of our Nation - Erubu

The Balogun Fulani Community Youth Development Association warmly felicitates with the entire Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid an-Nabawi, commemorating the birth of our beloved Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In his statement, the President, Com. Hassan Taiye Erubu has on behalf of entire Members of the community rejoiced the noble birthday celebration of Prophet Muhammad, SAW.

The statement reads: "As we celebrate, we urge all Muslims to emulate the noble teachings, exemplary character, compassion, tolerance, justice and peaceful disposition of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Let us become true ambassadors of peace, unity and development within the Balogun Fulani Community, Ilorin Emirate and Nigeria at large.

"We particularly encourage our youths to uphold good character, respect constituted authority, promote peaceful coexistence and contribute meaningfully to the progress and development of our communities.

"We offer special prayers for peace, stability and prosperity in Nigeria, and for wisdom, good health and success for our leaders at all levels. May Allah continue to guide and protect our traditional and religious leaders and grant our nation lasting peace."

The Association furthered rejoiced all the Traditional and religious leaders, and the entire Commuinty members in extension, it reads: "We extends our heartfelt felicitations to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR; the Balogun Fulani of Ilorin, Alh. Abubakar Sidiq Atiku Fulani; all Traditional and Religious Leaders; and the entire members of the Balogun Fulani Community, Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

This year Annual programme is witnessing tramendious turnout of both the basic and post basic students (JSS 1- SS 3), and it's helding at the Government Girls Day Secondary School, Amilengbe, Ilorin, between 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., every Monday to Friday

We therefore calls on every individuals, corporate organisations, philanthropists, and the general public to partner with and support this noble educational initiative aimed at promoting academic excellence and youth development within the Balogun Fulani Community, and beyond.

AMBASSADORIAL AWARD OF RECOGNITION: Balogun Fulani Youths Celebrate Dan Amana N’Gari of Ilorin Emirate for Giant Strides as Image of the University of Ilorin

The Balogun Fulani Community Youth Development Association has joined other well-wishers in celebrating one of its outstanding Community Ambassadors, Dr. Abdulkadir Tunji Nagode, the Dan Amana N’Gari of Ilorin Emirate, on his well-deserved recognition for his steadfast commitment to promoting the ideals and image of the University of Ilorin, culminating in his honour as a University Ambassador.

The historic event took place yesterday, 17th August 2026, at the University of Ilorin main Auditorium as distinguished personalities, academicians, captains of industries, members of the traditional institution and other notable guests gathered to celebrate the University of Ilorin’s Ambassadorial Award recipients.

In his Congratulatory Message, the President of the Association, Com. Hassan Taiye ERUBU, felicitated Dr. Nagode on the prestigious recognition. He stated: “Dr. Tunji Nagode’s steadfastness and commitment to the promotion of societal ideals, goodwill, beautiful gestures and values, as well as his remarkable efforts in promoting the image of the University of Ilorin as an alumnus of the institution, have today earned him this prestigious honour.”

The President further described Dr. Nagode as one of the finest ambassadors of the Balogun Fulani Community, noting that the award is among several clear attestations to his unwavering commitment to educational advancement, Promotion of Ilorin Emirate Culture and values, Community Impacts and human and capital development, not only within Ilorin Emirate but across Kwara State and beyond.

The Association therefore celebrates Dr. Nagode’s remarkable impact and selfless contributions to education, as well as his continued support for initiatives that promote academic excellence and institutional development.

The statement further expressed confidence in his continued contributions and unwavering commitment to the growth and advancement of the educational sector in Nigeria.

YOUTH DAY: Balogun Fulani Youth Celebrates International Youth Day, Advises and Prays For a Greater Opportunities

"...dream big, pursue knowledge, acquire useful skills and remain responsible citizens.."- Erubu

The Balogun Fulani Community Youth Development Association , BFCYDA joins young people across the world to celebrates this year 2026 International Youth Day, internationally celebrated at every 12th August.

This year annual celebration signifies a renewed call for youth empowerment, responsible leadership, unity and community development.

In his message, the Association’s President, Com. Hassan Taiye Erubu Congratulates all youths and encourages them to dream big, pursue knowledge, acquire useful skills and remain responsible citizens. He advises young people to shun violence, division and negativity, embrace peace and unity, and use their energy, creativity and talents to create opportunities for themselves and contribute positively to society.

He added, “You are not just the leaders of tomorrow; you are the leaders of today. Your ideas, choices and actions have the power to shape the future of our communities.”

ERUBU further urges youths, " keep striving, stay focused and support one another, stressing that an empowered and responsible youth population is the foundation of a stronger community and a brighter future." The statement ended.

Thus, he prays for favorable and future opportunities, an avenue that'll be more prosperous and gave more chances to our youths to strive and excell.

38TH ANNUAL SUMMER LESSON: Balogun Fulani Youth Kickstarts 2026 Summer Programme, Constitutes 7-Member Committee

— Calls for Support Across All Sectors

The Balogun Fulani Community Youth Development Association (BFCYDA) will, on Wednesday, 29th July, 2026, commence its 38th Annual Summer Lesson Programme at its usual venue, Government Girls Day Secondary School, Amilengbe, Ilorin. The programme will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., every Monday to Friday.

As part of preparations for the programme, the President of the Association, Com. Hassan Taiye ERUBU, has inaugurated a seven-member Educational and Summer Lesson Committee to oversee the smooth and successful implementation of this year's educational programme.

The committee is chaired by Com. Muhammed Shu'aib Kasandubu, while other members include Com. Hassan Ismail, Com. Bunyamin Musa Gbodofu, Com. Sulyman Idiagbon, Com. Lanre Fulani, Com. Ishola AbdulFatai, and Com. Oba Sheriff.

During the inauguration, the President charged the committee members to remain steadfast, dedicated, transparent, and committed to ensuring the successful ex*****on of the programme.

In his response, the Committee Chairman, Com. Muhammed Shu'aib Kasandubu, assured members and the public of the committee's readiness and appealed for the support and cooperation of all stakeholders.

"Our committee is fully prepared. By the grace of God, we will commence the screening of volunteer teachers and subsequently begin the registration of interested students, who will be issued clearance forms," he said.

He also expressed appreciation to the Executive Council and the entire membership of the Association for their unwavering support and commitment toward the success of the programme.

The Association therefore calls on individuals, corporate organizations, philanthropists, and the general public to partner with and support this noble educational initiative aimed at promoting academic excellence and youth development within the community.
