38TH ANNUAL SUMMER LESSON: Balogun Fulani Youth Kickstarts 2026 Summer Programme, Constitutes 7-Member Committee

— Calls for Support Across All Sectors

The Balogun Fulani Community Youth Development Association (BFCYDA) will, on Wednesday, 29th July, 2026, commence its 38th Annual Summer Lesson Programme at its usual venue, Government Girls Day Secondary School, Amilengbe, Ilorin. The programme will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., every Monday to Friday.

As part of preparations for the programme, the President of the Association, Com. Hassan Taiye ERUBU, has inaugurated a seven-member Educational and Summer Lesson Committee to oversee the smooth and successful implementation of this year's educational programme.

The committee is chaired by Com. Muhammed Shu'aib Kasandubu, while other members include Com. Hassan Ismail, Com. Bunyamin Musa Gbodofu, Com. Sulyman Idiagbon, Com. Lanre Fulani, Com. Ishola AbdulFatai, and Com. Oba Sheriff.

During the inauguration, the President charged the committee members to remain steadfast, dedicated, transparent, and committed to ensuring the successful ex*****on of the programme.

In his response, the Committee Chairman, Com. Muhammed Shu'aib Kasandubu, assured members and the public of the committee's readiness and appealed for the support and cooperation of all stakeholders.

"Our committee is fully prepared. By the grace of God, we will commence the screening of volunteer teachers and subsequently begin the registration of interested students, who will be issued clearance forms," he said.

He also expressed appreciation to the Executive Council and the entire membership of the Association for their unwavering support and commitment toward the success of the programme.

The Association therefore calls on individuals, corporate organizations, philanthropists, and the general public to partner with and support this noble educational initiative aimed at promoting academic excellence and youth development within the community.

FELICITATION: Balogun Fulani Youth Rejoices Hon. Justice Sulyman Kawu on Appointment

- Prays for his Success as Chairman, Governing Board of Legal Aid Council of Nigeria

The Balogun Fulani Constituency Youth Development Association , BFCYDA has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the former Chief Judge of Kwara State, Hon. Justice Sulyman Durosinloun Kawu, on his well-deserved appointment as Chairman, Governing Board of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria.

In a congratulatory statement jointly signed by the President of the Association, Com. Hassan Taiye Erubu , and Association General Secretary, Com. Muh'd Kasandubu Shuaib Dantani expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah for the honour and recognition bestowed upon one of the distinguished father, legal luminary, role model and one of the worthy Ambassador of the Balogun Fulani Community.

Thus, the Association furthered described the appointment of Justice Sulyman Durosinloun Kawu as "a clear reflection of his remarkable contributions to the judiciary, outstanding service to humanity, and his commitment to upholding justice, fairness, and the rule of law."

According to the President: “The appointment of Hon. The group expressed confidence that Justice Kawu’s wealth of experience, wisdom, and leadership qualities will greatly contributes positively to the growth and effectiveness of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, especially in ensuring improved access to legal assistance and representation for indigent citizens across the country.

The Association furthered extends its congratulations to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Balogun Fulani of Ilorin Emirate, Alh. Abubakar Sidiq Atiku Fulani, and the entire Balogun Fulani Community. Balogun Fulani Youth Celebrates BABA LE'ERUBU'S Emergence as Grand Khalifa of Tijjaniyah in Kwara State, Prays for Allah's Guidance, Strength, and a Blessed Reign

Following the official confirmation and announcement of Fadilat Sheikh Uthman Ibn Suleiman Al-Tijjani Erubu (Baba Le'Erubu) as the Grand Khalifa of Tijjaniyah in Kwara State by the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Balogun Fulani Constituency Youth Development Association , BFCYDA heartily congratulates and celebrates the emergence of our revered father and spiritual leader.

In a statement issued by the Association's President, Com. Hassan Taiye Erubu , the appointment was described as a well-deserved recognition of Baba Le'Erubu's outstanding devotion to Islam, exemplary leadership, deep knowledge of the Tijjaniyah Sufi Order, and unwavering commitment to the spiritual and moral development of society.

The Association commended the leadership of the Tijjaniyah Sufi Order and the Ilorin Emirate for making a wise and worthy choice, noting that Baba Le'Erubu possesses the qualities, experience, piety, humility, and integrity required to provide purposeful leadership for the Order in Kwara State.

It will be recalled that the official announcement of his appointment was made by the Emir of Ilorin on 22nd June, 2026, after which members of the Association paid a courtesy visit to congratulate the newly appointed Grand Khalifa.

2026 BEST DRESSER: Balogun Fulani Youth Celebrates Muktar Ajanaku’s Emergence at Ilorin Emirate Durbar Festival

- Encourages him and others alike to continue upholding good conduct in academics, morality, and cultural representation, as they prepare to become future leaders.

The Balogun Fulani Constituency Youth Development Association has felicitated one of its young ambassadors, Amb. Abubakar Muh'd Muktar, Banni Ẹkun, on his outstanding recognition as the Best Dressed (Youngest Category) at the 2026 Ilorin Emirate Durbar Festival.

The honor was conferred during the 2026 Edition of the prestigious Ilorin Emirate Durbar Festival, held at Emir's Palace Ilorin on 17th June, 2026 organized by the Ilorin Emirate Durbar Committee under the leadership of the DanMasani of Ilorin Emirate, Engr. (Alh.) Yahaya Suleiman Alapasanpa.

In his reaction, the President of the Association, Hassan Taiye ERUBU, expressed appreciation to the Ilorin Emirate Durbar Committee for maintaining excellence and consistency in promoting cultural heritage through the festival.

He stated: “This honor will encourage greater participation, creativity, and cultural expression among our youths.”

He further described Muktar as a proud ambassador of the community, Banni Ẹkun Compound of Oke Ward, Balogun Fulani Constituency who has continues to projects the noble Fulani cultural attire and the rich heritage of the Ilorin Emirate.

According to him: “Muktar has been doing very well as a cultural ambassador, consistently representing our identity with dignity and pride through traditional Fulani royal dressing.”

Thus, Comr. Erubu also commended the parents of Abubakar Muktar for their support, noting that their guidance has contributed significantly to his cultural excellence and discipline.

He added that, the young award recipient has over the years demonstrated elegance, confidence, and consistency in showcasing traditional values, making him a role model among youths of the Emirate.

The Association encouraged him and other young participants to continue upholding good conduct in academics, morality, and cultural representation, as they prepare to become future leaders.

On behalf of the entire association, the leadership congratulated Amb. Abubakar Muktar on this well-deserved recognition, describing it as a celebration of identity, heritage, and excellence in cultural participation.

IMAM FULANI: Balogun Fulani Youth Felicitates New Chief Imam of Ilorin, Prays for Allah's Divine Wisdom, Strength and Guidance

— Describes Appointment as a Round Peg in a Round Hole

The Balogun Fulani Constituency Youth Development Association , BFCYDA has joined numerous well-wishers in congratulating the newly appointed Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki (Imam Fulani), following his appointment by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.

In a congratulatory statement jointly signed by the Association's President, Com. Hassan Taiye Erubu , and the General Secretary, Com. Muhammad Kasandubu Shuaib Dantani , the group described the appointment of Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki as "a round peg in a round hole," noting that the choice reflects wisdom, merit, and deep consideration of the religious needs of the Ilorin Muslim community.

According to the statement: it added that, "The appointment of Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani as the 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin marks another significant milestone in the history of the Ilorin Emirate. It is a decision that deserves commendation and reflects the Emir's commitment to sustaining the rich Islamic heritage and spiritual leadership of the Emirate."

The Association noted that, prior to his appointment, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki had distinguished himself as a renowned Islamic scholar whose contributions to the teaching, propagation, and advancement of Islam have earned him widespread respect and admiration within and beyond Ilorin Emirate.

Thus, the group further expressed appreciation to the Emir of Ilorin, members of the Ilorin Emirate Traditional Council, religious leaders, and other stakeholders whose efforts culminated in the successful appointment.

Therefore, the Balogun Fulani Constituency Youth Development Association has on behalf of the entire youth of the Balogun Fulani Community rejoiced with the new Chief Imam and prayed for Allah's continuous guidance upon him.
