The Ilorin Royal Lions Club visited Government Day Secondary School, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin to educate female students on menstrual health. They provided informative lectures, distributed sanitary pads, and offered expert advice on managing menstrual cycles. Dr. Bashirat Olanike AbdulGaniyu emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene and recommended healthy practices. The Head Girl of the school expressed appreciation for the gesture. Lion Ammies Ogunleye, the service activity chairperson of the Club, highlighted the significance of their monthly humanitarian service activities.

We are delighted to share with you the successful outcome of our recent initiative at the Ilorin Royal Lions Club. Our primary focus is to empower the younger generation by imparting essential knowledge and skills that will not only boost their personal growth but also contribute to the economic development of our community.

At the vocational workshop held at Lumex International College in Ilorin, we were warmly welcomed by both students and teachers, who eagerly participated in the sessions. Lion Ogunleye Amiomode's detailed guidance on the theoretical and practical aspects of soap making, emphasizing safety measures, was met with enthusiasm. Similarly, Lion Oladapo Busari's insightful session on woodwork as a vocational skill was well-received by the participants.

The active involvement of the students resulted in a meaningful and engaging workshop, and we were pleased to award certificates of attendance to 40 deserving students. This achievement would not have been possible without the invaluable support and contributions from everyone involved.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us to support the First Ilorin Royal Lions Club Service Activity for This Lion's year 24/25. Your participation in the Donation of Cleaning Materials and Cholera Awareness Campaign truly made a positive impact.

I'm immensely thankful to witness the dedication of our Lions and community members who volunteered their time and efforts to bring about change. Your generosity and hard work were instrumental in making this event a resounding success.

A special note of appreciation goes to our generous donors and Dr. Dupe Sh*ttu from the Kwara State Ministry of Health. Your contributions have been invaluable in our efforts to make a tangible difference in our community.
