This prestigious milestone is a clear testament to his unwavering dedication, scholarly excellence, and significant contributions to academia and society at large.*

Dr. Abdulhakeem has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to teaching, impactful research, and the mentorship of future leaders. Beyond his academic accomplishments, he remains a proud and committed son of Alore whose contributions to community development are both remarkable and enduring. He personally tutored many of us during our secondary school days, selflessly imparting knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, laying a solid academic foundation for countless students. He has also been an integral part of the Alore Descendants Community’s Annual Extra Moral Lessons programme since its inception over a decade ago, contributing immensely to its growth and success.

Comrade Saheed Babaibadan expressed immense pride in this outstanding achievement, describing it as a moment of honour and collective pride for the entire Alore community. The ADCDA views this recognition as a reflection of the values of diligence, integrity, and service which Dr. Abdulhakeem continues to embody.

The community prays that Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to grant Dr. Abdulhakeem greater wisdom, sound health, and more remarkable accomplishments in his academic and professional journey.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un.
(Indeed, we belong to Allah and unto Him we shall return.)

On behalf of the Alore Descendants Community, Comrade Babaibadan Saheed, President, mourns with total submission to the divine will of Almighty Allah the passing of a respected scholar, honourable elder, and pillar of our community, Sheikh AbdulWahab Hassan (Alfa Eleha), who returned to his Lord in the early hours of today, Tuesday, 3rd March 2026.

Sheikh AbdulWahab Hassan was a man of integrity, wisdom, and exemplary character. He devoted his life to the service of Islam, the teaching of beneficial knowledge, and the moral guidance of many. His humility, dedication, and unwavering commitment to righteousness earned him honour and deep respect.

His loss is not only to his immediate family but to the entire Muslim Ummah and the Alore community as a whole. His legacy of knowledge, faith, and service will continue to speak for him.

The Janazah prayer will take place by 4:00pm at his family house, Daleman Compound, Alore, Ilorin.

We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and gives his family, the Muslim Ummah, and the entire Alore community the strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss. Aameen 🤲

*CONTINUATION OF RAMADAN CHARITY FOOD DISTRIBUTION*

Following the successful completion of the first phase of our Ramadan Charity Food Distribution, the Alore Descendants Community Development Association continued the exercise today, reaching more widows, the less privileged, and vulnerable members of the Alore community.

Under the leadership of the President, Comrade Babaibadan Saheed, and with the unwavering support of the Board of Trustees, Patron, Matron, Legal Adviser, stakeholders, donors, and dedicated volunteers, additional beneficiaries received essential food supplies to support their households during this sacred month.

The food items distributed included rice, beans, semovita, gari, and palm oil, carefully allocated to ensure fairness and effectiveness in meeting the needs of each beneficiary.

With this continued outreach, the association remains committed to reducing food insecurity and strengthening the spirit of compassion, generosity, and communal solidarity throughout Ramadan.

We sincerely appreciate the Board of Trustees, Patron, Matron, Legal Adviser, stakeholders, donors, and dedicated volunteers whose unwavering support made this possible. May Allah SWT abundantly reward and bless everyone involved and accept our efforts as an act of ibadah.

*Commencement of Ramadan Charity Food Distribution by Alore Descendants Community Development Association*

The Alore Descendants Community Development Association, under the leadership of its President, Comrade Babaibadan Saheed, has officially commenced its Ramadan Charity Food Distribution to support widows, the less privileged, and vulnerable members of the Alore community during this sacred month.

This noble initiative was established by the Alore Descendants Community and is driven by the spirit of compassion, unity, and collective responsibility, ensuring that families in need receive essential food supplies to ease their fasting and daily sustenance throughout Ramadan.

Food Distribution Details

The food distribution was successfully carried out today and will continue tomorrow to reach more beneficiaries. Essential food items distributed include:

✅ Semovita
✅ Rice
✅ Beans
✅ Gari
✅ Palm Oil

Beneficiaries received all the listed food items, including Semovita with beans, as well as rice, gari, and palm oil, carefully distributed to meet the needs of each household.

Impact and Progress

On the first day of distribution, over 105 beneficiaries across the community were successfully reached and supported. The exercise will continue tomorrow to extend assistance to even more households in need.

This milestone reflects a significant step toward reducing food insecurity during Ramadan and strengthening the values of generosity, care, and community solidarity.

*TRAINING SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED!*

The Alore Descendants Community Workshop on Soap Making and Hair Cream Production was successfully concluded this morning, marking a meaningful milestone in our collective effort toward community development.

Fifteen carefully selected women participated fully in intensive, hands-on practical sessions and were equipped with essential skills, knowledge, and materials to confidently begin small-scale production. From tomorrow, they will independently commence their businesses, stepping into a new phase of self-reliance, dignity, and economic empowerment.

This initiative stands as a clear demonstration of what can be achieved when a community invests in its people. By prioritizing practical skills and sustainable livelihoods, we are laying a strong foundation for growth, productivity, and long-term impact.

We deeply appreciate the support, encouragement, and unity shown by our community members. Together, we are proving that true development begins at the grassroots, empowering our people and building a stronger Alore, one skill, one person, one step at a time.
