PRESIDENT’S SPEECH AT THE ADCDA FREE EXTRA-MORAL LESSON 2026 PRIZE-GIVING DAY

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Our respected elders, parents, teachers, sponsors, members of the Education Committee, members of our community, and our dear students, I warmly welcome you all to this special occasion.

Today is a very important day for us as a community. We are gathered here to celebrate our students, appreciate their efforts and reward them for their performance in the Extra-Moral Lesson Program.

As a community, we believe strongly in the importance of education and in giving our children the support they need to succeed. This was one of the reasons we established the *ADCDA Education Committee* Trust Fund last year, to support the educational needs of students across the Alore Descendants Community.

Alhamdulillah, with the support we received, we were able to assist five students with the payment of their WAEC, JAMB and NECO examination fees. We are happy with this achievement, and we pray that we will be able to support more students in the years ahead.

I want to sincerely appreciate those who have supported this initiative, especially Alh. Kamaldeen Adio, Alh. Razak Amubieya, Alh. Lukman Onimindin, Dr. Yunus Abdulraheem Otiripo and others. I also appreciate everyone who has contributed in one way or another. May Allah reward you all abundantly.

I must also appreciate our teachers for their dedication and sacrifice, the Education Committee for their hard work, and our parents and the entire community for their support.

To our students, I congratulate you all. The prizes you are receiving today are not just rewards, but encouragement to do even better. Please take your education seriously, respect your parents and teachers, and remain focused. Your success is a source of pride for your families and for the entire Alore community.

As President of ADCDA, I want to assure everyone that education will continue to receive our attention. We will continue to support initiatives that will benefit our children and contribute to the development of our community.

Once again, I thank everyone who has contributed to the success of this program. May Allah continue to bless our community, bless our children, reward our teachers and sponsors, and give us the strength and resources to do more.

I warmly welcome you all to this important and memorable occasion the Prize-Giving Ceremony marking the successful completion of the Alore Descendants Community Development Association (ADCDA) Extra-Moral Lesson Programme. On behalf of the Educational Committee, I sincerely appreciate all our distinguished invited guests, the Executive Members of ADCDA, parents, tutors, students, community leaders, and all stakeholders for honouring this occasion with your presence. Your attendance today is a clear demonstration of your commitment to the educational growth, development, and future success of our children and the entire Alore community.

I wish to express my profound appreciation to the Executive Members of ADCDA for their continuous support, encouragement, and confidence in the Educational Committee, as well as to our dedicated tutors for their sacrifices, commitment, and valuable contributions towards the success of the programme. I equally appreciate the parents for entrusting their children to us and encouraging them to participate fully, and I commend our students for their hard work and determination. To every individual who contributed financially, materially, morally, or otherwise to the success of this programme, we are sincerely grateful. May Almighty Allah reward you abundantly and continue to bless our community. Once again, I welcome you all and pray that this celebration will inspire our students to strive for greater academic excellence and become responsible future leaders.

The Alore Descendants Community, under the leadership of its President, Comrade Babaibadan Saheed, warmly congratulates our highly respected father and illustrious indigene of Alore, Prof. Biodun Sulyman Alabi, on his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of the Armed Forces Medical University.

Over the years, you have distinguished yourself through your contributions to education, medicine, and academic administration. Your service as Provost of the College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin, Chairman of the Association of Provosts of Colleges of Medicine in Nigeria (APCOM), and in other important positions, has shown your wealth of experience, dedication and leadership.

As one of our respected fathers and a distinguished member of the Alore community, we deeply value your achievements and the honor you continue to bring to our community. Your appointment is a moment of pride for Alore, and we are pleased to identify with you and your family on this important occasion.

*ADCDA: FROM LEARNING TO CREATING — THE IMPACT OF OUR TIE & DYE TRAINING*

Alhamdulillah, I’m really happy to see our students putting into practice what they learnt from the Tie and Dye training organised by the Alore Descendants Community Development Association (ADCDA).

This morning, one of the students came to my residence to show me the work done at home. Honestly, I was impressed with the result.

Another student also did the practical work at the lesson today, and the result was impressive too.

The pictures are from the works of the students.

This is what we want to see from our vocational training. It is not just about attending the training, but also being able to practise what they have learnt.

May Allah continue to bless everyone who supported the programme.
