milk gets bad, it becomes yoghurt. Yoghurt is more valuable than milk. If it gets even worse, it turns to cheese. Cheese is more valuable than yoghurt. And if grape juice turns sour, it transforms into wine, which is even more expensive than grain juice. You are not bad because you made mistakes. Mistakes are the experiences that make you more valuable as a person. Christopher Columbus made a navigational error that made him discover America. Alexander Fleming’s mistake led him to invent Penicillin. Don’t let your mistakes get you down. It is not practice that makes perfect. It is mistakes we learn from that makes perfect!

Remember, the goal is to be successful. Period. The goal is not to be more successful than your brother, friend, neighbour, or colleague. That is the difference between ambition and over-ambition. Only try to be better than who you were yesterday. Never try to be better than others. See your mate will destroy any chance of happiness in your life, because it destroys the foundation of all happiness, which is contentment! Remember, you can't change the truth. You can only be changed by the truth.

Before your downfall, make sure you make friends who will not fall down when you need people to stand up for you. Everybody will face a downfall at least once in their lives. How long you stay down often depends on how many friends stand up for you! That is why you should stress test your friends before your downfall. Even if you are solvent, pretend to be broke and even ask your friends for loans. Do they stop taking your calls? That means you have been watering dead plants. If you fall, you will stay down!

Everything shines when it is its time, whether the sun, the moon, the stars or a comet. Take yourself for example. You don’t put on your house lights in the day time, because it is not the right time. You too will shine. Your time is coming soon! Therefore, go where life takes you, but don’t break when life shakes you. Dead leaves fall when the wind blows the tree. You are not a DEAD leaf. You are a DEAR leaf. You add life to the tree. You have value. You are an asset, not a liability. Be encouraged!

If you don’t get along with people, refuse to burn bridges with them. Instead, keep your distance. Life is dynamic. Maturity levels increase with the passing of time. There may come a time when you need that relationship and they are mature enough. Then the bridge becomes useful. In Acts 15:37-39, Paul and Barnabas quarrelled over Mark and went their separate ways. But Paul, even though angry, did not burn any bridge. And then in 2 Timothy 4:11, Paul said “Mark is useful to me for ministry.” What is not useful today may be useful tomorrow!

If people know your income, it affects the love they have for you, making it fake. So, keep it to yourself. If they know your marriage details, they can cause marital problems. So keep it private. If they know your next move, they can thwart it. So keep it a secret. When people know your ideas, including your friends, they can steal it and capitalise on it before you, especially if they have capital and you don’t. If Jacob can steal his brother, Esau’s, birthright, your friends can steal your ideas. So keep them under wraps.

You do not need to blab about your plans to others if you want your plans to materialise. While a fetus is in its mother’s womb, it can still be aborted or miscarried. That is why mothers wait for their babies to be born before they give them names. Do the same thing with your plans. Stop having the naming ceremony before the plan is birthed.

Be like Zechariah. Angel Gabriel told Zechariah the name of his son, then sealed Zechariah’s mouth until John the Baptist was born. It is not everything God has told you, or every idea or inspiration you get that you blab about. Seal your mouth until it has come to pass or it may not come to pass. Or worse, those you tell may sell you into bo***ge, like Joseph’s brothers.

Your colleagues and coworkers are not your friends. So, they cannot betray you. When you think they betrayed you, you are being sentimental and are refusing to take responsibility for your actions. You obviously mistook them for friends and confided in them. And, of course, they will betray your confidence, especially when it can win them favour with the boss. Whether you like it or not, you are in competition with them for promotion. If you are running a race and you have a secret to success, would you tell it to other athletes who are running against you? No. Apply that same principle to work. When you have clarity about your position at work, you will have certainty about your promotion at that office. Go there, do your job, be cordial to your colleagues and be respectful to your boss. Then, go home and confide in your family and friends.

Your success or failure depends SOLELY on you. Stop looking for spiritual forces to blame, or innocent relatives to pin it on. The Son of God came and died and broke every curse. Scripture says “No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel”-Numbers 23:23. Scripture also says believers are spiritually engrafted into Israel-Romans 11:17. There is no poverty curse. There is now only a poverty cause. Look for the cause of your poverty, not the curse of your poverty. That curse only exists in your mind. It has been put there by inadvertently or sometimes deliberately, by the churches you go to. Some use the age old tool of fear to create a spiritual dependency in you. They tell you your mother is a witch. Your brother hates you. You have a spirit wife or husband. Once the Lamb’s spiritual Blood flows in you, these things are all moot! Only you are responsible for how your life is. God made you sufficient to stand and free to fall!

Self love is the most critical love after love for God. Pray to God, then praise yourself. Go to the mirror and, look at your image, and say, 'I love you, you handsome dude!' Find something about yourself to love and praise. When you praise yourself, you raise yourself. And when you are self-raised, it is hard for others to bring you down. It is not the water outside that sinks a ship. It is the water inside. If you have love for yourself inside you, hate from haters will just fall off you like water on a duck

Always use empowering words for yourself. Instead of saying ‘I made a mistake’, say ‘I could have done better’. Rather than ‘I am so stupid’, say ‘I won’t do that again’. Your psyche believes everything you say about yourself. Therefore only say positive things about you to yourself. In fact, stop listening to yourself and start talking to yourself. Don’t say what you see about yourself. Say what you want to see. If you are broke, don’t say ‘I am broke’. Say I am breaking the bank. Don’t speak where you are. Speak where you want to be.

When you wake, don't give your first conscious attention to your challenges and problems. Giving them attention is what gives them power. Instead, sow your first attention to God. It will starve your issues of their power, and feed power to solutions. Your attention is powerful. Look at the phrase 'pay attention'. When you are paying for something, you are giving something of value to that thing. When you pay for transport, you are paying to be moved from point A to point B. Likewise when you pay attention to your problems, you are giving them transport money to take you deeper into problems. But when you pay attention to God, you are giving Him the faith needed to take you to where you can find solutions

If you find your passion, money will find you. Do what you are fond of, and you will attract those who will fund you. Where your talent meets the needs of the world, the world will meet to meet your needs. Until you have identified your birth gift, your life won't get a lift. You will survive, but you won't thrive. Don't do many things. Instead, do what you are good at, and you will do money things!
