Ilero Progressive Forum YOUTHS WORKING FOR UNITY, PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT OF ILERO TOWN The Ilero progressive youth forum is the heartbeat of the development of Ilero Township.

THE YOUTH FORUM as the body shall be called in her session is a non government, non partisan body gears toward the development of ilero town and her indigenes. The body is a platform for endearing solutions to developmental problems facing the ilero town and her people. It is also a front for the collective support of all progressives bodies be it the Elders by the youths of the town. With our con

certed effort and unity of purpose, we the youth of Ilero Township believed that we can make a landmark change and be a catalyst to the developmental progress of the town. By our regular deliberation and meetings we will also critically examine all pertinent problems facing the town, her youths and proffers solution to them

Likewise the body shall also act as a pressure group to guide and direct the Elders on critical issues affecting the town and her people. The youth forum shall endeavor to endanger mass participation of all in the developmental programs and projects in the town and also ensure that all such projects are completed. The body will endanger the cooperation of all toward raising the standard of living of the community and her indigene. It is expected that the body will do all within her power to foster the development of her members.

Did you know? that the First ilero indigene to be a Banker is PA MOSES AKINLEYE AKINWUNMI

Pa Moses Akinleye Akinwunmi was born on this day 6th September 1937 in ILERO Town

He is the 1st Son of Pa Ezekiel Akanni Akinwunmi (Agbomabiwon) of Idofin Compound and Madam Sarah Bolariwa Akinwunmi of Ilero-igbẹ Compound,

• Between 1947- 1953 He attended ilero Baptist Day School for his First School Leaving Certificate/ Elementary Certificate, passing out in flying colours

• Between 1955- 1957 He attended Awe Higher School, Oyo state before moving to Kirigi Community School Igbajo from 1958 to 1960 to complete his Higher School Certificate,

• In 1961, He joined the service of Barclays Bank Nigeria Limited as a Clerk, (the Now Union Bank Plc) retiring from the service of Union Bank plc as a Relief Assistant General Manager in 1993

• He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration (University of Lagos), which He obtained through COSIT program in 1985

• Through his effort as a Pioneer Banker, several ilero Sons and daughters were employed into the Banking Sector

• He was at one time the Chairman of the Ilero Community Bank (defunct).

• On this day which is his Birthday, we celebrate Him as a pioneer banker and his effort in the upliftment of ilero sons and daughters and development of ilero township
