*ALL SUFFICIENT CHRIST: THE WORD OF ETERNAL LIFE*
*REV. PROF. GREG ERHABOR*
26-04-2026 | SPOKESMAN SANCTUARY OF HOPE CHURCH
*Text: John 6:66-68 New King James Version*
66 From that time many of His disciples went [a]back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”
68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
We are often faced with the question, “Where else shall we go?” Yet, every alternative outside Christ is never better. No matter how pleasurable or attractive the things of this world may seem, we must make a firm decision not to follow that path.
What you believe and live by will ultimately determine your destiny. The Word of Eternal Life is our foundation, and how we handle it determines how strong and stable our spiritual lives will be. Because of this, the enemy’s primary goal is to corrupt the Word.
*We are living in the last days where:*
* People follow the doctrines of men instead of the doctrine of God. Matt.15:8-9, 2Tim. 4:3-4
* There are seducing spirits seeking to draw believers away from the right path.1Tim.4:1
* Some will masquerade as agents of light.2Cor.11:13-15
* Many will turn the gospel into merchandise for personal gain.1Tim.6:5-8
* Mockers will arise, seeing the things of God as meaningless.2Peter3:2 NLT
* People move from culture to culture, losing their faith in the process. Psalms 106:35-36
* Many are departing from the faith because they do not mix God’s Word with faith. Heb.4:2. Nothing dishonors God more than not believing His Word.
* We should avoid magical arts, mind control and manipulative techniques when communicating the word. Transparency must be our watchword. Rev.9:12
The Word of Life reveals the centrality of Christ. Christ is the beginning, the end, and everything in between. He is our life. He is our model, Messiah, our Message, our Mediator. Col.1:16-17
Our Christianity is Christ-centered; therefore, we are called to be like Him. Christ desires to live in us and take full control of our lives. The hallmark of true Christianity is obedience. We should go for a wholesome gospel. We should preach and live the whole counsel of God. We should believe the whole scriptures not focusing on one chapter, verse or doctrine. Acts 20:27
*When we come to Christ:*
* He leads us into a powerful crossover—from darkness into light. From hopelessness to hope. From darkness to light etc.
* He becomes the Bishop and Overseer of our lives. 1Peter 2:25
* He orders our steps and delights in every detail of our journey. Psalm 37:23(NLT)
* The blessings of God will enrich us and overtake us without losing our heavenly focus.
* By His grace, His spirit will overshadows us and give us the power surpasses everything we ever imagined.
* He produces within us our own supply of joy and peace. We manufacture our peace and joy from within. Regardless of the external circumstances we have rivers of living water flowing inside of us. John 7: 37-38
