A COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF AN ENLARGED MEETING OF THE LEADERSHIP OF IKWO NOYO YOUTHS CONSULTATIVE FORUM, TOGETHER WITH YOUTH PRESIDENTS OF 5 PRINCIPAL COMMUNITIES AND ALL THE VILLAGE YOUTHS PRESIDENTS IN IKWO LGA.

Include date and venue.

The Leadership of Ikwo Noyo Youths Consultative Forum and the Youths Presidents of the Principal Communities and Villages in Ikwo LGA met on issues of security and Youths Welfare and resolved as follows:

1. Charge everyone to take the responsibility of the security in their locality with the aim of ensuring that the lives and property of everyone in all the corners of Ikwo is adequately protected.

2. Complete autonomy of Ikwo Youth Elections. Ikwo Youths Presidents/leadership elections at all levels is hence resolved to be entirely Youths affairs devoid of any interferences of any sort in accordance with the peculiarities of each Community and Village and should be based of candidate's integrity, past track record and competence.

3. Henceforth, any youth election in any part of Ikwo LGA should be strictly observed and monitored by the Ikwo Noyo Youths Consultative Forum for transparency and total compliance with the electoral procedures of the body and therefore should be properly notified in good time.

4. Ikwo Youth Presidents and Leaders should be properly empowered to checkmate possible compromises which could pose security threats in various communities and villages.
This is also applicable to unemployed and vulnerable youths. Prioritizing them for empowerment will go along way in checking public nuisance, security and other social vices common among idle youths.

5. The meeting also resolved on immediate establishment of Local Vigilantes Group in all villages as well as community central security to monitor activities and report to appropriate quarters.
Members of the Local Vigilante Groups should consist of persons known in the village to be upright and do not take nor harbor hard drugs.
6. The meeting also approved Security Seminars for all youth presidents and local vigilantes. This was considered crucial for their optimum security performance and efficiency.

7. The Local Government should include logistics and support for local vigilantes in their budgets to enable them discharge their duties effectively.

8. As a matter of importance, Youths should be involved in decision-making processes in matters involving their communities and villages as this will go along in giving them a sense of belonging.
9. Henceforth, no Stakeholder is allowed to be instigating crises in part of Ikwo LGA but should rather take responsibility in peace promotion.

10. As a matter of urgency, the meeting approved the establishment of Special Task Forces(STG) to man identified flash points in all parts of Ikwo LGA and gather security intelligence to prevent crises and criminalities.

11. All Youths Presidents of Ikwo Local Government Area were charged with the responsibility of identifying and reporting of hard drug peddlers within their domains.

12. Presidents of the 5 principal communities of Ikwo should serve as liaisons to the central leadership and ensure regular feedback.

15. Youth leaders were to be diligent, driven by passion and spirit of patriotism in carrying out their primary responsibilities as leaders and avoid being swayed by political interests.

Ikwo youths make statement

19/03/2026

As Jesus said, 'I must do the work of He who sent me, while it is still time.' Now is the time for us to act!

It's our collective responsibility to keep our community safe and make it thrive.

We've decided as youth leaders at the grassroots level - don't just involve us when problems arise, engage us in policy-making and implementation so that our interests will be represented and protected and we flow seamlessly

This is a call to action from the youths, for the youths, and for our community.

IKWO NOYO YOUTH CONSULTATIVE FORUM PRESS STATEMENT

The Ikwo Noyo Youth Consultative Forum (INYCF) is shocked and appalled by the brutal abduction and murder of HRH Eze Francis Igwe, a revered first-class traditional ruler.
We condemn this heinous act, deeming it an embodiment of wickedness, envy, and brutality.

The INYCF demands justice from the relevant quartets and urges Ikwo youths to reject any involvement in such acts, whether instigated by insiders or outsiders, as it contradicts our community's values.

We call on government and security agencies to ensure justice is served, and we pledge our full cooperation where applicable in bringing perpetrators to book. We also urge Ikwo youths to prioritize internal security, reporting unusual activities in their villages to facilitate swift action and prevent future occurrences.

May the soul of our revered leader rest in peace.
Once again, we demand justice and pray that such acts are not repeated in our land.

Protect your community and represent it well!
Life is not by magic, you can't manouvre life, if you do it boomerangs!

Let no one deceive you, life is full of processes and principles, jump the gun today and regret it tomorrow!

You don't want to identify with your community (Ikwo) as a student (youth) but you like to be identified as someone from another place not knowing that that place you admire people sacrificed for it, you do the way you do because you're not doing well in your area of chosen career, if you excel exceptionally in your area of chosen career it is people that should be rushing to identify with you by so doing the image of your community would be magnified.

Stop violence!
Stop thuggery!!
Stop kidnapping
They do not represent the values of your community!

Get the youths involved to have governance experience, it is not learnt without hands on it

28/02/2026

"The youths don't have experience that's why they should have experience before they come into leadership!"
Me: how can we have experience if we are not involved?
Teach us governance through participation so that we get the experience!

INYCF FELICITATE IKWO LGA "CROWN PRINCE" ON HIS BIRTHDAY

The Ikwo Noyo Youth Consultative Forum is super excited to congratulate the Honorable Henry Nwode, who's about to be the Local Government Chairman for Ikwo Noyo!
He's really a committed member of our association, and today is just a huge day for him.
It's a big milestone in his life story, especially because it's his first birthday since he was named the 'Crown Prince' of Ikwo Local Government Area.

Honestly, this isn't just his birthday party; it's a celebration for _all_ the young people of Ikwo Noyo. We're praying that God Almighty blesses him with success, a long life, and tons of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for everything the community and leaders have put in his hands.
His becoming chairman has really energized all the youth, and we believe God will use him to take Ikwo to amazing new levels.
Happy Birthday!
