Yesterday, we had a remarkable afternoon at the 2026 edition of our institute’s Fellows’ Luncheon.

The event brought together an exceptional gathering of Fellows, distinguished directors, business leaders, policymakers, and corporate governance advocates for an enriching exchange of ideas on one of the most pressing issues shaping today’s business environment.

Delivering the keynote address, Nigeria’s foremost management consultant, Mr. Foluso Phillips M.CIoD Foluso Phillips led a thought-provoking session on the theme: “Directors at the Crossroads of Diplomacy, Trade and Corporate Strategy.”

From shifting geopolitical dynamics and global trade realities to the strategic role of boards in navigating uncertainty, the conversation was both timely and impactful.

The session sparked insightful deliberations, engaging questions, diverse perspectives, and valuable takeaways for directors seeking to lead effectively in an increasingly interconnected world.

It was an afternoon of learning, reflection, and meaningful dialogue, one that left many with fresh perspectives and renewed clarity on the evolving responsibilities of board leadership.
