What an Irresistible Year It’s Been!
This Rotary year, the Rotary Club of Ikoyi has had a truly magical and impactful journey one marked by service, compassion, and purpose. Aligned with Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus, we have carried out meaningful projects that have touched lives and strengthened communities.
As part of our 40th anniversary celebration, the club donated inverters to the Lagos State Motherless Babies Home, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply; because every child deserves a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
We also constructed a canoe school bus to support waterway transportation for schoolchildren in the riverine Makoko community, making it easier for them to access education.
In collaboration with Ikoyi Club 1938, we provided free breast cancer screening for women in Lagos, championing early detection and improved women’s health.
We supported mothers and children with the donation of essential supplies at the Victoria Island Health Centre, and actively participated in polio vaccination and free medical assessments and treatments during our Family Health Days.
These highlights reflect only a portion of our commitment this Rotart year and you’ll find many more inspiring stories in the latest edition of Shoreline Magazine, proudly launched during our Monday fellowship.
