“Conversations around gender equality are no longer new. What matters now is whether those conversations are producing structural change.”

During the International Women’s Day 2026 | Target Gender Equality Accelerator 6th Cohort Round-up Convening, our CEO/ED Naomi Nwokolo in her opening remark, delivered a clear call to action for businesses and stakeholders.

As momentum builds, the focus is shifting from commitments to implementation. Organisations are increasingly setting time-bound targets, strengthening accountability mechanisms, and aligning gender equality outcomes with core business strategy.

This signals meaningful progress. However, closing the gender gap requires sustained leadership, credible measurement, and stronger collaboration across the public and private sectors.
