Welcome to the month of March — a new season of growth, purpose, and renewed strength.

As young people, March reminds us that progress begins with movement. It is a month to rise with courage, sharpen our vision, and take intentional steps toward personal growth and community development. No matter the challenges behind us, this is another opportunity to learn, build, and lead with impact.

Let us embrace discipline, unity, and positive action. Choose peace over conflict, knowledge over ignorance, and service over selfishness. Your voice matters, your effort counts, and your contribution can shape a better tomorrow for our communities.

May this month bring clarity to your goals, strength to your journey, and success to your endeavors.

Together, let us build the youth and build the nation. 💪🇳🇬

On Wednesday, 18th February 2026, I had the privilege of leading the vibrant youth of Igando–Ikotun under the banner of NYCN Igando–Ikotun Local Branch on a strategic working visit to the Citizens Mediation Bureau (CMB), Ikotun, Ministry of Justice.

Our delegation was warmly received by the Head of Unit, Barrister (Mrs.) Elewuro Olufunto Sekinat, who took time to educate us on the Bureau’s “Win–Win” approach to dispute resolution. Through dialogue, mediation, and mutual understanding, the Bureau helps residents resolve conflicts without the need for lengthy court processes.

We learned that the Bureau handles matters such as landlord–tenant disputes, family and inheritance issues, employer–employee disagreements, and other civil concerns — all through accessible and confidential mediation services.

As Coordinator, I strongly believe that peacebuilding starts at the grassroots. This visit further strengthens our resolve to sensitize our youths, promote conflict resolution, and build stronger collaboration with key institutions that uphold justice and social harmony in Igando–Ikotun.

When youths understand peace, communities thrive.

Together, we lead.
Together, we serve.
Together, we inspire. 💪

Yesterday, I had the honour of leading the vibrant youths of Igando–Ikotun to the Lagos Youth Talk Series 2.0 held at the Sam Shonibare Youth Centre, Surulere.

Themed “Street-Smart Safety: How Lagos Youth Can Strengthen Community Emergency Response,” the engagement was not just a talk — it was a call to responsibility.

From the inauguration of the Lagos Youth Safety and Emergency Champions (LYSEC) to powerful messages from the Commissioner for Youth, security agencies, and other key stakeholders, one message was clear:

Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and youths must take the lead.

We were reminded to:
• Know and use emergency numbers 112 & 767
• Avoid double voter registration and participate actively in governance
• Take digital, physical, and mental safety seriously
• Become first responders and safety ambassadors in our communities

I am particularly proud that NYCN Igando–Ikotun was visibly represented and recognized during the engagement.

This administration is intentional about exposure, partnership, and capacity building. We are not just attending programs — we are positioning our youths at the forefront of governance and community development.

Lagos Safety and Emergency — My Duty, My Pride.

We were warmly received by the Chairman, his Executive Members, and all Zonal Chairmen of the Branch. The engagement commenced with the rendition of the National Anthem, followed by introductions and familiarization.

On behalf of the Coalition, I formally presented the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), highlighting our mandate, structure, objectives, as well as our ongoing activities, programmes, and projects across Alimosho Federal Constituency.

My fellow Coordinators also made valuable contributions, especially during discussions on possible areas of collaboration and strategic partnership between NYCN Alimosho and NURTW, with a shared commitment towards youth development, peacebuilding, and community progress.

The NURTW Chairman expressed delight at our visit and commended the foresight of the youth leadership, while also introducing his Executives and Zonal Chairmen.

As a mark of appreciation for their hospitality, we presented a package gift to the Branch, and in return, the NURTW leadership graciously presented a token of support to the NYCN Alimosho Federal Constituency.

I sincerely appreciate all Coordinators and members of the delegation for their solidarity.
