What you know can protect you.

Brokline Foundation (BLF) continues to take HIV prevention information closer to communities, creating opportunities for young people, AGYW and community members to learn, ask questions and make informed decisions about their health.

Through our AGYW and general sensitization activities, we provide accurate information on HIV transmission, prevention, testing, PrEP and available prevention services, while addressing myths, misconceptions and stigma surrounding HIV.

Our message is simple:
Know the facts. Know your prevention options. Take action.

Together, we can build communities where everyone has the knowledge and support needed to prevent HIV.

Young People at the Centre of HIV/AIDS Conversation!

At the ARISE Youth Skills Week 2026, themed “Skills for a Shared Future,” organized by the Akwa Ibom State Government in collaboration with Ministry of Youth Development, Akwa Ibom State, an engaging Fireside Chat brought together stakeholders and young people for an honest conversation on “Empowering Young People for an HIV-Free Future — From Awareness to Action."

Representing the voice of young people, Esther Emmanuel, the Executive Assistant of Brokline Foundation and NYNETHA State Coordinator, joined the panel alongside Dr. Emediong Akpan from Akwa Ibom State Agency for the Control of AIDS - Aksaca, Dr. Michael A Ejeh from CCCRN, Dr. Uyoho from ECEWS, the APYIN State Coordinator, Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Youth Development Desk Officer, Mr. Utipobong Obed and the panel host, Dr Mrs Ekpoudo.

The conversation explored what it truly takes to move beyond HIV awareness to empowering young people to take action and make informed choices.

Importantly, we also used the platform to create awareness about the availability of Lenacapavir (LEN) PrEP services in Akwa Ibom State, ensuring that the conversation moved beyond awareness to connecting young people with emerging HIV prevention options.

The takeaway?
Young people cannot do it alone, and neither can adults do it without young people. Building healthier communities requires young people, families, communities, institutions, and decision-makers to work together.

For us at BLF, we believe young people should not only be the focus of HIV conversations, they should be heard, included, empowered, and active in shaping solutions and driving action towards an HIV-free future.

Every Child's Life Matters. Every Household Counts.

At Brokline Foundation (BLF), we believe this:
No child should be invisible.
No adolescent should be forgotten.
No household should be left behind.

That is why we are taking care to the people.
We are strengthening community-based care for Children and Adolescents Living with HIV (CALHIV).

Not in distant hospitals.
Not behind long queues.
But in homes. In communities. In hard-to-reach places.

This past quarter, we walked into hundreds of households.
We didn’t just provide counseling on ART adherence.
We delivered hope.
We didn’t just check charts.
We restored dignity.
We didn’t just visit families.
We made a promise that no young person will fight this battle alone.

Because when a child stays on treatment, a future stays alive.
Because when a household is supported, a community is strengthened.
Because when we reach the last child, we prove that every life counts.

We are not just saving lives.

We are raising a generation
A generation that is resilient in the face of stigma,
bold in the face of challenges,
and unstoppable in transforming communities.

This is our work.
This is our commitment,

Young women are not just beneficiaries of malaria interventions/Projects, they are voices, leaders and key stakeholders in the fight against malaria.

Together, with Global Civil Society for Malaria Elimination, we are advocating for access to rooms where AGYW voices will be heard in malaria decision-making in Akwa Ibom State.

Because malaria elimination cannot be truly achieved without the meaningful participation of those most affected.

An August Visitor We Were Glad to Welcome!

On Tuesday, 11th August 2026, Brokline Foundation (BLF) welcomed the African Network of Adolescents and Young Persons Development - ANAYD team and the GEF Ambassador, for a supportive monitoring visit under the Gender Equality Fund (GEF), a part of HER Voice Fund with Y+ Global as its implementing partner.

As the Country Lead Organization for GEF, ANAYD’s visit provided an opportunity to review the progress of the SHINE-GEF Project, assess implementation and documentation, reflect on achievements and lessons learned, and receive valuable technical feedback and support from both project team and AGYW beneficiaries.

Beyond monitoring, it was a meaningful opportunity for reflection, learning, feedback and shared growth. We appreciate ANAYD for the constructive engagement, guidance and continued support as we work together to advance gender equality and amplify the voices of AGYW.

We remain committed to strengthening our work and ensuring that Adolescents Girls and Young Women are meaningfully engaged in decisions that affect their health, rights and wellbeing. 💜🤝🏽

International Youth Day 2026

Young people may come from different backgrounds, communities, and circumstances, but our aspirations remain connected.
We want to be heard, included, empowered, and given the opportunity to shape the future we want.

For Brokline Foundation (BLF), we believe young people are not merely beneficiaries of development, they are partners, leaders, advocates, and changemakers.

This International Youth Day, we celebrate the confidence, creativity, resilience, and leadership of young people, especially Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), Young people and Adolescents living with HIV(ALHIV), young people with disabilities, and other underserved young people whose voices deserve a place in every decision that affects their lives.

From health and education to gender equality, climate action and social justice, meaningful youth participation must move beyond consultation to real influence and decision-making.

Let’s create spaces where every young person can speak, lead, participate, and thrive.
