According to experts, a normal resting heart rate for an adult is between 60 and 100 beats per minute. That’s over 100,000 beats every day, pumping life through your veins. Yet, despite this incredible effort, our hearts are often taken for granted.

World Heart Day is therefore a call to act - to embrace healthier habits: eat balanced meals, stay active, avoid excessive alcohol and to***co, and most importantly, go for regular checkups.

This year’s theme, Don’t Miss a Beat urges us to listen to our hearts, recognize the warning signs, and make timely choices that could prevent devastating consequences.
