The Ikorodu Muslim Community Association (IMCA) is delighted to announce the successful official launch of the IMCA Savings Scheme, held on Saturday, 11th July 2026, at the Ikorodu Central Mosque, Obun-Ale, Ikorodu.

The launch marks a major milestone in IMCA's commitment to promoting financial empowerment, economic self-reliance, and cooperative development within the Muslim community and the wider Ikorodu Division.

In his keynote address, the Pioneer Chairman of the Scheme, Alhaji Abdul Wasiu Omidina (FIGPCM), described the initiative as a practical demonstration of the Qur'anic injunction to "cooperate with one another in righteousness and piety" (Qur'an 5:2). He explained that the scheme was established to encourage a culture of savings, provide interest-free financial support, and improve the economic well-being of members through mutual cooperation.

Members will enjoy:

📎Salary Support, enabling members to purchase essential household items on credit during difficult periods and ease financial pressure on their families.
📎Target Savings Plans for Hajj, education, business, housing, and other personal or family projects.

The IMCA Savings Scheme is built on Islamic values and operates with:

👉100% Interest-Free Financing
👉Secure and Guaranteed Transactions
👉Transparency and Accountability
👉Discipline and Trust
👉Clear Rules and Regulations
👉Mutual Support and Financial Responsibility

The Scheme is now open to all interested members who desire to cultivate a healthy savings culture while benefiting from a cooperative founded on Islamic ethics and sound financial management.

IMCA INAUGURATES PIONEER EXECUTIVES, ANNOUNCES JULY 11 2026 LAUNCH OF SAVINGS SCHEME

The Ikorodu Muslim Community Association (IMCA) has formally inaugurated the Pioneer Executive Council of the newly established IMCA Savings Scheme, a duly registered cooperative society established to promote financial inclusion, encourage a culture of savings, and advance the economic empowerment of members of the Ikorodu community.

The IMCA Coordinator, Imam AbdulHafeez Abojututu during his address, said the inauguration ceremony marked another significant milestone in the administration's commitment to complementing its religious and social programmes with sustainable economic initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of Muslims and the wider Ikorodu community.

The event was attended by eminent Islamic scholars, community leaders, and stakeholders, who unanimously described the Scheme as a timely initiative capable of strengthening the financial capacity of members through cooperative savings and mutual support.

In their separate goodwill messages, the dignitaries charged the newly inaugurated executives to regard their appointments as an Amanah (sacred trust) and to discharge their responsibilities with Ikhlas (sincerity), transparency, accountability, and the fear of Allah. They stressed that the success and sustainability of the Scheme would depend on the integrity, prudence, and selfless service of its leadership.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, the Chairman, Alhaji Abdul Wasiu Omidina, expressed appreciation to the leadership of IMCA for the confidence reposed in the team. He assured members that the executive would administer the affairs of the Scheme with integrity, professionalism, and accountability, while remaining committed to the vision of making the cooperative a reliable platform for economic growth and financial empowerment.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the official announcement of Saturday, 11th July 2026, as the date for the Official Launch of the IMCA Savings Scheme. The Executive Council called on members of the Muslim community, corporate organisations, community development associations, philanthropists, and the general public to attend and support the landmark event.

According to the committee, the launch will formally unveil the objectives and programmes of the Scheme, mobilise membership, strengthen strategic partnerships, and showcase IMCA's commitment to promoting financial sustainability and economic self-reliance within the community.

The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the success of the Scheme, its executives, and all members. Prayers were also offered for Allah (SWT) to grant the leadership wisdom, sincerity, and the ability to manage the affairs of the Scheme in a manner that will bring lasting benefits to the Muslim community and Ikorodu at large.

The IMCA Savings Scheme represents another bold step by the Association towards building a financially empowered, self-reliant, and prosperous community through cooperative enterprise and responsible financial management.
