The Nigeria National PolioPlus Committee (NNPPC) held a strategic meeting with the six Rotary District Governors to strengthen collective efforts toward a polio-free Nigeria.

Discussions focused on sustainable funding, public awareness, advocacy, and increased participation of Rotarians in polio eradication activities on the field.

We were honoured to have Rotary International President Yinka Babalola in attendance, adding his voice and leadership to this critical mission.

Together, we can mobilize more resources, engage more communities and ensure every child is protected from polio.

The Nigeria National PolioPlus Committee (NNPPC) Executive Committee met with the six PolioPlus District Chairmen to review ongoing efforts, strengthen coordination, and discuss strategic plans for the continued fight against polio.

The meeting provided an opportunity to align priorities, share experiences, identify opportunities for greater impact, and strengthen collaboration across the districts.

With a shared commitment and coordinated action, Rotary continues to push forward, because ending polio requires all of us.

Strong field performance for quality immunization delivery.

During IBRA Round 2, Day 4, supportive supervision was conducted at Ago Anago Settlement, Okoko Ward, Lagos State, where Team 006 was carrying out House-to-House activities.

The team demonstrated good understanding of H2H procedures, with proper house marking, accurate tally-sheet documentation, and an intact cold chain. Encouragingly, no vaccine rejection was recorded during the visit.

NNPPC remains committed to strengthening frontline teams through supportive supervision and ensuring every eligible child is reached.

Strengthening IBRA implementation through supportive supervision.

On Day 4 of the IBRA Round 2 Campaign, supportive supervision was conducted at Muhammad Haruna-3 and Umar Magaji-4 Settlements, Gwazange Ward, Argungu LGA, Kebbi State, on 1 August 2026.

The field visit focused on monitoring campaign activities, supporting frontline teams, identifying implementation gaps, and ensuring quality service delivery to reach every eligible child.

Through continued supportive supervision and community engagement, we remain committed to strengthening immunization efforts and moving closer to a polio-free Nigeria.

During supportive supervision at Kusa Ward, Dobe Settlement, Jibia LGA, Katsina State, Rotary International Field Coordinator Mansur reviewed the teams’ tally sheets and vaccine ice boxes to ensure accurate documentation, proper vaccine handling, and quality implementation of immunization activities.

On Day 2 of IBRA Phase 2 in Tsafe LGA, Zamfara State, Rotary International Field Coordinator Shehu Dahiru intervened to address and resolve a case of non-compliance at Zango B Settlement.
Through respectful dialogue and community engagement, the team successfully resolved the concern involving a household with two children, helping ensure they were not missed during the immunization activities.

Rotary International’s continued presence on the ground demonstrates its commitment to supportive supervision, building community trust, and ensuring every eligible child is protected.
