On 27 February 2026, Trailblazer Initiative Nigeria (TBI), with support from Global Health Advocacy Incubator, convened a high level Technical Meeting with the Oyo State Open Government Partnership (OGP) Steering Committee and key stakeholders to advance sustainable to***co control financing in Oyo State.

Acthub for Sustainable Development Foundation participated in the meeting as part of the OGP Steering Committee and as a key stakeholder. The organization was represented by John Olla.

The meeting focused on positioning To***co Control as a transparency and accountability priority within the OGP framework and advocating for the inclusion of a dedicated To***co Control budget line in the 2027 fiscal cycle.

Key outcomes from the meeting included:
- Agreement to integrate To***co Control into the OGP Action Plan
- Commitment to advocate for a dedicated budget line
- Proposal to establish a functional Technical Working Group
- Strengthened focus on enforcement, monitoring, and civic oversight

To***co control is not only a public health concern. It is also a governance issue. Sustainable financing, effective enforcement, and transparency are essential to reducing the burden of non communicable diseases and protecting communities.

Acthub remains committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and evidence driven advocacy that strengthens public institutions and improves health outcomes in Oyo State.
