Girl Child Art Foundation

Girl Child Art Foundation We create a space were young women and girls can find their voice through artistic expressions.

For over twenty years, Girl Child Art Foundation has been inspiring young girls—especially in underserved communities—to harness their creativity and imagination as tools for personal growth and empowerment. Based in Nigeria, where gender inequality often limits girls’ opportunities, GCAF provides safe, expressive spaces where girls can thrive through the arts. Through music, painting, writing, da

nce, and drama, girls are encouraged to build confidence, discover their voice, and support one another. By nurturing creativity, GCAF promotes self-esteem, leadership, and innovation—empowering girls not just to imagine a better future, but to create it.

Meet Omolosho Olawunmi!

Omolosho Olawunmi is a talented Nigerian multidisciplinary artist and a proud member of the 2025/2026 AFAMP Cohort.

Her work explores themes of memory, healing, and the quiet intelligence of the soul. Congratulations to all artists from the African Female Artist Mentorship Program 2025/2026 Cohort! It has been an amazing three months filled with hard work, dedication, consistency, and growth. Thirteen artists representing five countries, guided by six expert advisors and three mentors. The countries represented include Nigeria, Eswatini, Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia.

Together, they have completed twenty-four mentorship sessions, three interactive peer learning calls, and a transformative studio visit. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them!
