Today, The Jewel Empowerment Foundation is fourteen years old!
What started as a thought, then a vision, has now existed for 14 years. Over the years, we have generously promoted education across Nigeria, ensuring every child has the basic educational materials such as school bags, exercise books, writing materials, school sandals, water bottles, and so on. Thousands of school children, especially senior secondary students and youths, have benefited from our annual youth empowerment programmes, helping them to discover and rediscover themselves. We are keen on helping Nigerian children and youths discover their hidden potential, by so doing reducing societal menace. We believe education is a powerful tool that can transform a child and the nation at large. We have invested so much in this through our self-discovery and entrepreneurial seminars, career talks, pet talks, and skill acquisition training, partnering with the likes of MTN Foundation, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Ministries of Education, Offices of the First Lady (Lagos and Ogun State), Orphanage Homes, Traditional/Community Leaders, and many other private and public enterprises.
For fourteen years, we have relentlessly impacted over 100,000 lives and are still counting. We are grateful to all our volunteers who have worked passionately to improve the lives of children, youths, and even women in our communities. Thank you for your support, time and kindness. Thank you to all of our sponsors, who believe in the vision and have contributed financially and in kind to improve humanity. We wouldn't have come this far without you.
Our plan for our 15th anniversary is to impact another 15,000 vulnerable/underprivileged school children across 15 States/locations in Nigeria, providing them with Back to School materials such as exercise books, school bags, writing materials, mathematical sets, water bottles, school sandals, and other educational needs.
