🚀🇨🇮 Beyond Borders: Our Comic Books in Côte d’Ivoire!

During the Adolescent Girls Summit 2026 in Côte d’Ivoire, we co-facilitated a breakout session on School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV).

We also distributed copies of our comic books to adolescent girls and boys from different countries across West Africa, helping them learn more about preventing and responding to SRGBV.

We have produced three comic series on:
✅ SRGBV Prevention
✅ Healthy Masculinity
✅ Menstrual Health & Hygiene

Designed with adolescents. Grounded in African culture. Powered by evidence.

Now, we’re working towards reaching 10,000+ young people with life-saving information.

Teens Talk 🗣️ at LFC, Enugu! 💙

Last week, copies of The Red Badge of Courage made their way into a secondary school classroom during a Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 outreach session organised by OCHAWORTH Leadership and Community Development Initiative. 📚🩸

Girls and boys were in that room, learning about menstrual health and hygiene, breaking stigma, and having conversations that many of them had never been allowed to have before. And our comic book was part of that.

The Red Badge of Courage was created for exactly this moment, to meet young people where they are, in language they understand, with stories that feel like theirs. Seeing it in the hands of secondary school students in Enugu is exactly the impact we set out to make.

Menstrual health education doesn't have to be a lecture. Sometimes it's a comic book. Sometimes it's a story. Sometimes it's a character on a page who says the thing a teenager has never heard anyone say out loud.

That's what we build at Mildheart Care Foundation. 💛

From real-life stories to practical knowledge, it’s going to be all about equipping young people with what they need to thrive.
